xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxName:Abrianna
Name Meaning: "Mother of grace" in Italian
Gender:Female
Personality: Abrianna is straightforward, lithe, and courageous. She also isn't very patient, which made her a terrible hunter and a lousy fighter. Also, she doesn't really like to fight unless it's to protect something physically near her, giving her a bit of a stubborn air. However, if you bug her enough, she would go fight if needed. It's said that she's rather lazy, but that is most definitely not true.
Role and why:"My role? A pupsitter, of course. Why would I choose such a "boring" job? I love pups, and it's definitely not a boring job, mind you. It's a job that requires much skill, care, and tolerance, all qualities which I believe I have. Not to mention, pups love me. You must be truly skilled to deal with everything pups do on a daily basis. For example, you need to be on the ready to stop them from doing something really stupid. Though it may not seem like it, I really do enjoy taking care of the little buggers. They're cute, mischievous, and they force everyone to depend on me for something useful. Heh, heh, they can be pretty helpful too. For example, one time I messed up my paw and the little one all banded together to help me get around. Sweet little angels. Don't worry, i'll be finished talking soon. One last reason why I love being a pupsitter is because for some reason, I could never have pups of my own. I tried so hard, but it never worked, and every time it failed, the Xholi I tried to bond with left me, never to speak to me again. So therefore, my final reason for loving my role, is that it makes me feel like the mother I could never become."
The Past of The Pup-Less OneI looked in awe at the mother and her pups. I was too young to understand how much care was required to create them, but nonetheless, I knew from that moment on, I wanted some of my own when I was older. A bit awkwardly, I scampered over to the mother and her pups, wanting to meet the newborns. "Hello!" I greeted. "Your pups are so adorable!" I continued on. I was only an apprentice at the time, so I was quite an annoying Xholi. The mother looked up and smiled at me tenderly. "Thank you, Abrianna." She answered, chuckling softly. "Can they come and play?" I proceeded to ask, forgetting how young the little ones were for a moment. The mother shook her head. "Their gems are too fragile at this stage in life, remember?" She reminded me of the fact. I nodded awkwardly, a bit embarrassed that I had forgotten such an important fact. "Abri!" My mother called to me. She was a bit strict, but she was wise, and her heart was always in the right place. "Coming mother!" I called back, returning to her side.
One day, I'm going to be the one with pups at her side... I thought to myself, excited for the future I had planned.

Tragedy, is the perfect word to describe me at this point in time. I had become very close with five different Xholi, (each at different times, though) and every single time we tried to bond, it.... Didn't work, for some strange reason. The savant had never seen such a strange case, in which two gems refused to fuse. I was an embarrassment to those around me. Many began to call me, "The First Barren Xholi" to my displeasure. Some were so superstitious that they refused to let me, a pupsitter, care for their pups while they were out "playing their roles". However, some found sadness in their hearts ad gave me sympathy for my failures. I accepted it, though reluctantly. I wasn't the same as those around me, and I began to believe what they said. "Her gem must be cursed!" They cried, "She's barren!" They gasped, "She's not natural!" All their cries of horrors filled my ears, until one day, they just stopped, like I was old news or something. I wouldn't let myself cry over my ailment. I wouldn't let myself be weak. I would show them all that though I was different, I could somehow be just like them. Then, realization hit me. I had the pack's pups to care for. Though they were not my own, I was still caring for them, which is something i'd wanted to do. I smiled and mumbled to myself as I watched the little ones play with each other. "You may not be my own, but you have shown me that I
haven't failed. I
am a mother, though not physically. I am a mother to your actions, to your mind, to everything you will be when you are grown. Thank you, for opening my eyes. Thank you, little ones, who brighten my skies."
