well... not what I expected. Slate grullo eh? So is that color what don and dust would look kinda like if they were less green? or was this a natural breeding color from the color calculator? im not too familar with how coat colors work with horses.
Hmmm let me search around for a better name then what I currently came up with.

This is the natural color for a slate grullo horse, no need to double check it.
no that's not what i mean, what I mean is stardust and Donatello were green colored equids. I know this is the realistic color for a slate grullo. What I am trying to understand is how I got it. I was asking ghost how they got that color, because I dont know what color dust and don would be realistically.
So what im wanting to also know is if this is the natural outcome of the two. It doesn't say if it is, and I dont know what colors the parents would be considered to figure it out on my own. That is why I am asking ghost.

Just as there are no blue equids there are no green equids.
Ghost did the right thing correcting colours.
I like to think all artists fix the inaccuracies of older equids when they breed.

Guys I am asking GHOST! and I would appreciate it if GHOST would answer me. Because these aren't the answers to my question and it's just spamming up the page. I am asking the staff member directly that made the equid themselves, who is the only person who actually knows how they did the colors and what made them decide. I would appreciate it if you all back off and let the person I am speaking to address me themselves and tell me their reasons.
If that is the reason fine, but I want to hear it from ghost themselves. Thank you.

I think Horsy summed it up rather well, but I'll give you a reply as well, since you need it.
I couldn't pass on the green tones in the breeding since it simply isn't natural, WMEs have changed a lot during the time they've existed. Both parents were handled as different types of grullo since one actually was listed as a grullo and one looked closer to grullo than anything, hence the outcome of the breeding; a slate grullo.
Whenever I make breedings, no matter the pairing I'm given, I try to make the base look as realistic and natural as possible, I'm positive all artists are. And this is what I deemed fit the pairing.
Hope that answers your questions?
