Rukami are the species responsible for the legend of the werewolf. They appear to have canine features, but they actually are more closely related to mustelids, such as the otter, badger, and wolverine. Rukami (Rue-KAH-mee) are highly intelligent creatures, but their mostly solitary lifestyles have so far prevented them from forming any kind of society structure. They inhabit tracts of land rich in prey, and are territorial to each other and packs of wolves.

The Dream Eater
Most dreams are fluffy and pleasant, like the night sky encrusted with stars. But occasionally, dark and rainy nights feature horrifying and uncontrollable nightmares. Nightmares haunted every Rukami. That was, until a very beautiful and kind Rukami appeared; her pelt littered with stars of the night sky. Her name was Somnia, a fitting name for such an elegant Rukami. Somnia was known as the dream eater, and many say she possessed the power to eat nightmares. Being the selfless Rukami she was, Somnia vowed to protect the dreams of the Rukami by consuming the nightmares. The downside to this ability was that Somnia had to experience the dreams or nightmares she consumed. Accepting this; Somnia continued to consume the nightmares and fears of many, nearly submerging her with fear and torment. However, Somnia vowed, and she would abide by her decisions, thus continuing to protect the sweet dreams of little Rukami. As the Rukami wanders across meadows and villages, her paws tapping against the dirt roads, some can still hear the angelic lullaby of the dream eater.

Rest for now with peaceful dreams,
Of twinkling stars and shining moon beams.

Her Favorite Bedtime Story: The story starts like this, little one...One day, there was a rather handsome female 'Kami with long red hair and big (green or blue, das User must remember) eyes. She was quite the fair maiden amongst all the Rukami females. She liked to go among the royalty, but even though she was quite fair she was one of the lower ranked common Rukami... However, because of her beauty, often no one could tell and the males were often swayed by her. She went with many a male back to his dwelling, and left the next day feeling ashamed. Because of her naughty ways, a Kami and a Vulpis (made up species, shall put a description and stuff on Deviantart!) who were best friends, named Ebony (big black Rukami with blue glowing markings like a shiny Umbreon, puffy tail and long ears, golden eyes) and Ivory (White fox like with glowing green markings and silver eyes), who are basically like the God of each of these species, came down before her and set a curse upon her. Her eyes turned red like a demon's, she gained minor fire powers and markings, and her soft tanned and black coat turned dusty and two long curling black ram's horns sprang forth. From that day on, no male wanted her and she was forced to live in the mud of a marsh...But one day, she met a Dark male named Carl, and they had a son named Crowley whom was cursed. No one knows what became of the three...

And some of you seem confused about the watch thing...just find a cute pocketwatch, and link me to it. I keep one under my pillow because the ticking helps relax me while I sleep - so I thought it'd be a fun, fitting thing.
