Emerald Tinker's personality's a bit hard to explain, to a certain respect. She loves emeralds and mechanics, and has devoted her life to both. Emerald's a bit ambitious, but also pretty relaxed and calm when you talk to her. Seeing as how she's always at her shop and mine area, you'd think she'd be antisocial; however, this is not the case. She's very social, and can often be seen bargaining with passing travelers to buy her many wares. She never fails a sale, that's for sure. Skillful in persuasion, I guess you could say. Due to being up in the mountains for such a long time, Emerald's developed a little bit of an accent, thanks to the nearby towns' influences on her. Now, as you may have assumed, she's quite intelligent. Knowing how to build all the machines and forge the materials she does, requires a ton of knowledge. However, she doesn't like to show off her intelligence, as she think it will make her look "less cool". That's also a reason she wears what she does; she feels it boosts how "cool" she looks, not to mention, she made it herself.

"Something about me? You'd really like to know? I'd like you to know I'm quite surprised. Not much here, to be honest. I'm an engineer and a bit of a spelunker, to a certain respect. What would I have to do with gems? Well, I'll admit, I happen to love 'em. 'Specially emeralds. Can't beat emeralds. Gorgeous inside and out, much like the machines I make. Now these machines I make, they're not just normal machines; they're powered by a special substance only I know how t'craft. I'll let you in on a little secret; it's liquefied emeralds! Genius, right? I know, I know, "such an original idea, Emerald". Heh, heh. Anyway, these machines are specially built t'help me out in and out of the shop. By this, I mean they help me find emeralds to build and power 'em with, and they help me build more of 'em. Great plan, ain't it, eh?"

"Again?!" Emerald cried out in annoyance. "I swear, one of these times I'm gonna throw you into the scrap yard!" She yelled out in anger at her incomplete robot.

The engineer let out a sigh, reminding herself to calm down. "I'm lyin', little robot." Emerald mumbled quietly to the unfinished project. "I'd never waste material.." She sighed, a bit sad. This robot was a bit different than her others; a clockomaton, she called it. Instead of a central power core like most of her inventions, the robot had a clock that controlled it, along with keeping it functioning. Well, it was supposed to do that, anyway. Through a series of tests, poor Emerald found that her new robot worked much like a wind-up toy; you wind it up, it walks around for a bit, and then stops moving. "I 'spose I should try something n-" Emerald stopped mid-sentence. An idea began to grow in her mind, larger and larger by the moment. A new source of energy.... That's it! The engineer's mind raced a hundred miles a minute as she thought over every outcome of her amazing plan. The female Plumerian went to work. Day after day, night after night, the engineer worked on her new fuel, until finally, one fateful day, it was complete. "Careful, Emerald." She mumbled to herself, sleep deprivation making her movement shaky. Pouring in the fuel was a near impossible task, as her shaking made it hard. Made of emeralds and crafted by paw, the energy source was unique, and sure to work. Emerald knew it. Just as she had hoped, the small robot sprung to life, making her heart soar. The robot made a strange noise, like a dog's bark mixed with a mechanic noise. Emerald smiled at the creature. "You're a cute one, ain't ya?" She chuckled as the dog-robot bounced around. "Impossible Task.... But a lovable one too.." Emerald smiled. "My adorable Impossible Task...." She let out a peaceful sigh. "This fuel works on clockomatons.... What else does it work on? Time for more impossible tasks."

Skill or job the plumerian has:
Mechanics. It's her specialty. Steam, gears, machinery, the inner workings of clocks―you name it! She'll know what's up. Her main job, however, is working at a clock tower atop a book store (yes, just like the one from the tv show once upon a time). She handles things very precisely and keeps everything running on the dot. The clock is always on time and if it isn't, plumerians will know that she isn't to blame. When she isn't busy with things to wind up, gears to shift into place, or whatnot, Quinn is sitting in her somewhat comfy sea mine chair rolling around aimlessly (yet, responsibly) around the tower room with her nose buried in the sweet smelling pages of old books. And during her times off work and she has vacation time, she will merely return to her tower work room and work on Project Aviate (to be explained further in this form).



Personality:
Consistent and very particular about things, Quinn must have everything ship-shape at all times. You might even want to call her Mary Poppins! However, she won't be seen floating through the skies with an umbrella or perched atop a cloud. But, she's brisk and gets things done ASAP. Things out of order greatly upsets her and everything must be clean and organized.





Project Aviate:
Flying is top priority. It'll be a great discovery if non-winged plumerians could fly with some sort of wings. And Quinn intends to bring these 'wings' to the plumerian world. She works on it as much as she can, really. It's nearly done, if only they believed in her vision for flight, then maybe, just maybe ...

Octavia is quite a hard worker. She loves to commit herself to a project, and will push through it until she completes it. She strives for perfection and is often, unfortunately, disappointed with himself - she lacks self confidence. She can be judgmental and criticize others, especially others, for foolish mistakes. On the other hand, Octavia is always interested in things - she's curious the spirit, but not particularly deep in finding things she shouldn't be. She can sometimes become quite annoying - sticking her noise into convrsations and giving her opinion. Bu, usually she doesn't like going into confrantations as she prefers to work hard over fighting. She is also quite sociable and likes to work together, and hates being alone, but often puts himself first, being quite weak by herself. Octavia also prides herself in her honesty.
