The origin of this particular species is unknown. It is guess that it was the iqena who sparked the mythos of unicorns, pegasus, kirin, and hundreds more that have become legend. Thousands of years of speculation and wonder have led to the constant search of this elusive species.

Iqena are commonly friendly towards any creature of any world. Their peaceful souls only adding to the mystery of their vast variations. Even the youngest of iqena are clueless to their biological origin. Some say that they are born from the mind, much like the goddess Athena.

personality: Dorian is very playful and generous, but he's also extremely forgetful. You might say he's a bit mindless

In his past life, Dorian was known for his beautiful looks and the way he had the most perfect smile. He was so gorgeous that when a king's daughter swooned for him even without any royalty of his own, the king was enraged and ordered to have him assassinated by a secret character. Of course, it had to seem like an accident so that his daughter would not become upset, so when the assassin found out of Dorian's bottomless chest, it was absolutely perfect! You see, a bottomless chest only holds 10 minutes worth of oxygen to survive. He asked if he could possibly share a little food, disguised as a beggar, and as Dorian leaned into his box, the man shoved his end in and closed the chest without anyone noticing.

domain: Old battle fields, something about the medieval ages and old wars seem to hall him to these strange places. he feels the excitement and smells the fear of war the moment he steps foot on these forgotten places even though centres lay between him and these great battles. It calls him to linger and relive sensations from his past.

item: Hecuba's covers the top of his headless neck with a Knights hamlet. You can open the face mask and find nothing staring back at you even though he wears it to make others believe he does have a head.
significance:
Hecuba was once a fierce and brutal war leader. In Medieval times he would lead a ruthless army to war fighting for peace and justice even though in all their hearts they had neither. He was merciless to his opponents and ruled his army with an iron.. er hoof. But Hecuba was not perfect, his ranks wet not perfect and all great leader's biggest flaw usually derives from his biggest strengths.
Men under his command began to feel he was unworthy to lead the charge of a reform especially since he didn't seem to believe in the cause himself. So They staged a coupe of sorts. in the dark of night they sounded the alarm that they were being attacked. Upon rushing from his rest to put on his armour Hecuba was decapitated. the only peace of armour he had yet to put on was his hamlet. from that point on he can be seen with this helmet garnishing his headless spine.

an old man made habitat that has been in his family for generations,
letting him stay warm and be able to access prey and fauna quickly.

personality:
sky is a rather closed up character, coming out cold and distant when
he stumbles over someone who doesn't look reasonable. when he
stumbles over someone reasonable, he tries to figure out their game
before he plays it. he welcomes them with open arms, but the rest is up to fate.

this pretty jar carries his sister's memorial items. a white rose, a jays
feather and a piece of broken glass. his sister travelled high and far to
gather each and everyone of these items for him, leaving a memory of
herself before she left on her 'journey'. he died before she ever came
back.

significance:
sky wasn't always alone. he used to live with his sister, until the day
something happened out of the blue. she decided it was time she
stopped helping her headless deer brother around. she went long and
far to bring him back this shiny jar with three contents. a jay feather,
a white rose and a piece of broken glass. he didn't make it. sky died
from an attack from nearby den of badgers. all he remembers was
running towards the jar. when he was reborn, his reincarnation was
gifted into a graceful deer patterned body. he never realised it had no
head until he was a few days old, when it got too strange for the group
of traveling iqena's he was born to. he was abandoned at a very young
age, still not knowing what was 'wrong' with him. the fact is, when he
grew up, he figured out how to somewhat visualize things. it was the
jar his past sister gifted him, and it still contained the three items.
a rose as white as snow, a jay's feather as light as light itself, and a
piece of glass, as sharp as separation.

domain: A town in a small rural part of China. It isn't anything too special, but it does have some charming little features, especially this large ancient bell at the edge.
personality: He's very proud and will protect his domain with all his heart. He rarely moves very far from the large bell, gladly staying there and watching for threats, though he does appreciate whenever people leave offerings there, being rather narcissistic. He prefers to be alone and doesn't get along with others when he decides that he hates them.
item: A round bronze tiger bell
significance: When he was alive, long, long ago he lived in the town he now protects. It was a time of turmoil and the village was threatened by a band of rogues. He was set in a group of night watchmen, though he wasn't very happy about it. One night, all the watchmen were tired because that day had been a festival. It had been weeks since the threat was made, so they all thought it wold be fine to sleep for a while. Now, when Tocsin was alive, he may have been proud, easily annoyed,and hated people in general, but he also believed in honor and sticking to the rules. So he was there, the only one still awake, waiting for morning, hating everyone. It was still hours until dawn until he noticed something. a large group of the rogues was heading for the village, armed for battle. He quickly raised the alarm and rang the large bell, waking the other watchmen and most of the village. Luckily the group was far enough, and the village was prepared enough, that they fought them off. Unfortunately, it was a dark night, so they were close enough that one that was on horseback sped up and shot an poison arrow, which hit him. He soon died. The village honored him as a hero, and apparently so did fate, or the universe, or some mystic, because he became an iqena, his final act of saving his village at the cost of losing his life remembered.
