Favorite thing to do when the weather is warm:
While Shasta absolutely loves tending her bees in the winter,
she enjoys is much more when the weather is warmer. The
happy buzz of the bees as they start to work again is music to
her ears. Not to mention it means fresh honey until it's cold
again.

Don't get me wrong, Midori loves the spring, with all the wonderful smells in the air, and the new life emerging from where they had been holed up throughout the winter; a miracle of life, as he would put it. But, his favourite thing to do during the months of mild warmth is lie in front of the air-conditioner. It doesn't matter if the temperature outside is blazing hot, or has a nice breeze, Midori enjoys basking in the coolness of air conditioning. He will often complain of the weather never being right, but when his friend introduced him to this wondrous technology at a young age, there was no going back.

Often enough you can find Midori either curled up in the living room -- where the air flow is the best -- or sprawled out beneath the air conditioner itself. He doesn't do much while he lays there, his options are either dozing off, daydreaming, or working with his paws. A quick warning; it takes great persuasion to move him from his spot, and he isn't exactly willing to move. Good luck with that!

Favorite thing to do when the weather is warm: Cam loves to go to the park, but not for the park itself. She loves to go to anyone she sees and give that plumie a few starbursts and try to get to know the plumie a little. She loves meeting new people and spreading smiles and happiness, especially when someone is feeling down.

Favorite thing to do when the weather is warm: When it starts getting warm, birds and other egg-laying animals come out and lay eggs. Clementine loves to collect unwanted or abandoned eggs, caring for them until they hatch; then she sets them free into the wild. She will collect any type of egg; chicken, robin, ostrich, snake, platypus; you name it, she's probably hatched it. Often the animals come back since she is a mother-like figure to them, so once it gets hot in the summer and the animals no longer lay many eggs, she will care for any that come back.

Ainsley spends almost all of his time during the warm months at a butterfly garden.

The garden is a very large greenhouse with many plants and bright flowers for the butterflies and caterpillars to eat or rest on. When he's not volunteering there, Ainsely is usually taking the tours provided to visit all of his insect friends and see how the flora is doing.

Ainsley especially likes helping with the chrysalides and freshly hatched butterflies. Ainsley befriends the new adults and watches parts of their lives until they depart from the world. He holds a small goodbye ceremony for all of them, and then asks the butterfly keepers if he may have them for collecting. If the answer is yes, he gently takes the butterfly before putting it into a display box where he labels the butterfly's name (given to it by Ainsely) and specie, then putting it somewhere in his home.
