For Sexuality, please keep in mind the rules regarding Voxxies and their sexualities.
Do Voxxies have to mate and/or breed?
No, of course not!Like humans, Voxxies have the choice to find a mate or to stay single. In fact, I own a Voxxie who will always remain single, as she doesn't want a mate or children. If a Voxxie does choose to find a mate, it is usually with the prospect of later having children, but there are couples who are together who don't have children. Mating isn't JUST for breeding - mates can just be mates and not procreate.
Can Voxxies be other sexualities than heterosexual?
Yes, but other sexualities are very uncommon. Other than heterosexuality, asexuality is the most common. Homosexuality and bisexuality aren't very common, but are still present within certain Voxxie colonies. Other sexualities (pansexuality, lithsexuality, etc.) are extremely uncommon and aren't seen in most Voxxie colonies. Below is a table with approximations of the sexualities of Voxxies.Heterosexual - 88%
Asexual - 7%
Homosexual - 2%
Bisexual - 2%
Other - 1%
If my Voxxie is an uncommon sexuality (anything other than heterosexual), what can they do in terms of mating and reproduction?
It all depends upon your Voxxie's sexuality. Heterosexual Voxxies will obviously be able to mate and then later breed. Asexual Voxxies don't generally breed (but can and actually do so, in some circumstances), but may take on mates depending upon which gender they are attracted to. Homosexual Voxxies cannot breed, but may mate and later adopt a child if one goes up for adoption. For bisexual Voxxies, it depends upon which gender they are attracted to - if they lean more towards the same gender and take on a mate of the same gender, then they cannot biologically breed. If they take on an opposite-gendered mate, then they will be able to mate at a later time.
Also, keep in mind that if a Voxxie finds a mate, that Voxxie doesn't have to breed. The mates can simply just be mates - they don't have to have children if they don't want to. Also, some Voxxies prefer to stay single, so these Voxxies will never have mates nor will they reproduce.
