Overview and History

The origin of this particular species is unknown. It is guess that it was the iqena who sparked the mythos of unicorns, pegasus, kirin, and hundreds more that have become legend. Thousands of years of speculation and wonder have led to the constant search of this elusive species.

Iqena are commonly friendly towards any creature of any world. Their peaceful souls only adding to the mystery of their vast variations. Even the youngest of iqena are clueless to their biological origin. Some say that they are born from the mind, much like the goddess Athena.

Castiel is is extremely shy towards almost any creature, especially other Iqena. Despite this, he is also very kind and willing to do almost anything to help anybody out. This may seem contradictory because his domain receives a lot of human traffic, but he has his reasons for choosing where he not resides. All he does is hide himself from the humans when they are near. Sometimes he is a little scared of them.

Castiel sometimes sees himself as an outcast, usually because he has trouble holding everyday conversations. Because of this, he does not have a lot of close relationships. The closest relationships he has are with the native fauna in his domain. Though, they are easier to be friends with when they can't really speak. Castiel still understands them, though, and would protect them with everything he has.

Although, there is one relationship that he holds above all else, and that is with the Mystics.

his domain and its significance:
When Castiel was looking for a domain to call his own, he was planning on finding a place that had little to no human traffic; thinking of a place such as up a mountain or in a very dense forest. He came upon the Fairy Pools late in this journey, and was instantly enraptured by the glistening and clear water. It had instantly calmed him, but then he had heard the voices of humans and knew he would not be able to reside there.

This changed when he saw a Mystic, there and gone withing a flash. But, he had known what he saw, and therefore took it as a sign that he should make the Fairy Pools his home.Before that point, Castiel had not really thought about the Mystics. They were just common knowledge. But, the Mystic he saw was beautiful like no other with a strength that brought rare awe out of Castiel.

Now, he thinks about the Mystics constantly, and thanks them profusely for his domain. He dreams of a day where he is given the chance to catch a glimpse of another Mystic, and maybe have the chance to talk to them.

after countless years living in the mirror image, unaka rarely encountered others, and so she wasn't very sociable
however, there were some animals that wandered near, including fish that made their way into the bright blue shallows, so she was never really alone, even when she couldn't communicate with most of them
when una ventured back to the human plane, the iqena would conceal herself in a fog that followed her wherever she went, ever aware of the threat that being discovered could pose
observing humans was always both intriguing and terrifying for una during these visits
the destruction they brought upon the earth and others of their kind was the worst, but she found that she also admired these strange beasts
the iqena loves expanding her know-how of the world, or at least she used to, but una rarely passes through the arch of durdle door anymore, what with the burning down of her favorite human site some two thousand years ago-
una loved traveling to the library of alexandria, for the wealth of knowledge stored there was beyond any she had seen before it, and after its destruction, she watched as the world was deprived of the greatest creation she had ever seen
after the tragedy, she became ever more distrustful of humans, and found that she couldn't stand being near them, that they would just ruin everything else she loved, so she stopped short her little adventures completely
