The Roaring Twenties
The Harlem Renaissance, Prohibition, Segregation, and Women's suffrage colored the 1920s as one of America's greatest periods of social change. Women and African Americans fought for their civil rights and mobsters created speakeasies as hubs of debauchery and organized crime.

▹▹A young lady from a Temperance-supporting Christian family longs for a more interesting life. She takes up singing in a Speakeasy, unknown to her family, and becomes tangled up in a whirlwind romance with the child the mobster who owns the club.

Regency Romance
The life of the landed gentry of England in the Regency Era was built around business, politics, and social intrigue. The English Ton, the collective of the rich and socially influential, feeds on the social failings of others and the aristocratic youth struggle to find footing on the social ladder.

Vampiric Society
While the world groans and laughs at the prospect of vampires that sparkle in sunlight and repeat high school over and over, and remain ignorant of the presence of vampires in their everyday lives, a booming community of immortal beings pass day after day of their immortal lives. Vampires fill prominent positions at the heads of global businesses, as musicians and composers, and everything in between. Unbeknownst to the public, vampires have their own complex infrastructure, their own leadership positions, and entire civilizations of their own, fit snugly in their place between the realm of normal existence and that of the supernatural.

▹▹A pair of vampires have been intertwined since the beginning; they have loved and will love each other forever, or until the void takes them. They return to each other after a centuries long fight to commemorate their centenary, but returning to each other after so long is difficult at best.
▹▹One of the Ancients, a centuries old vampire with no foothold in the present, finds a human that they cannot bear to drain. In a moment of weakness, they Sire their first Child in a millennia. Having lived so long apart from other Kin, the sudden responsibility of caring for a New Born is off putting. What will become of the Ancient and their new Childe?
▹▹A vampire, Borne just before the American Civil war, has spent most of their unlife apart from their Kin, having alienated themselves after the death of their human lover. When a wounded human resembling their lost love finds their way to the shut-in vampire's doorstep, they hardly know what to do.

Boston Marriages
The term Boston Marriage was used in New England in the decades spanning the late 19th and early 20th centuries to describe two women living together, independent of financial support from a man. This relationship was often thought to be a socially accepted form of lesbian relationship.

▹▹This as a plot would be about two such women who begin living together as friends for financial reasons and ultimately fall in love.

Labyrinth
After years away from the Labyrinth and Jareth, Sarah has forgotten her friends. Years of pressure to give up her fantasies has finally gotten to her and now an adult, Sarah has no memories of the Labyrinth beyond fantastic dreams. She is miserable without her friends to guide her and in a moment of weakness she wishes to disappear. Jareth comes to her aid.

▹▹Ohh boy. This plot is rough but I love Labyrinth unendingly and I would love to use it. I can try my hand at either role.

{ Appearance }

The Faide daughter is tall and slender from constant exercise. Her form is slender, with long legs fit for running, but she has an hourglass figure that slows her down a bit. When her hair is down, long tendrils fall over her shoulders and down her back, ending neatly where she cuts it at the smallest part of her waist. However, her hair is rarely down; pulled into a pony tail when she is "off duty" and wrapped into a tight bun when she hunts. On the hunt, she paints her face with kohl, like war paint, and dresses in all black armor, signalling for everyone near by to stay out of her way. In some renditions half of her hair is shaved.

{ Personality }

She is a woman of dark looks and seductive smiles but she can never seem to decide on one; above all else she seems to be a woman of mixed messages. She suffers from great paranoia; always cautious. Her trust is rare and not easily earned, though she's very good at keeping a facade of friendly trustworthiness, or so she thinks. She is not a woman seeking power or love; at a glance, one would think she aspires to being rich but, this is not true either. In reality, Mei aspires to strength in battle, love at home, and never being without a target to hunt.

She is fiercely loyal to and protective of her brother, though even to him she seems at best rather rude. She is terrible at expressing her feelings and is more likely to curse and fuss than offer embraces or compliments. She is, however, a devoted companion and though it is difficult to earn her trust she can be very tender at times.

The Nythivellan son is tall and broad; well muscled with great wide shoulders and a powerful physique. He is an incredibly fit man, standing much taller and twice as wide as his sister. He tries to keep his hair reasonably short, for convenience, but rarely bothers to keep his stubble at bay, making for a scruffy beard. He has his father's handsome face and his mother's smirk. He stands at around six feet and five inches weighing in at two hundred forty pounds.

{ Personality }

He is much lighter in ways than his sister, all friendly smiles and deep chuckles, and has a strong love of alcohol. He more or less just follows his sister around, a protective guard dog and loyal sibling. His intimidating mass makes him good for carrying their gear and scaring the daylights out of their targets. The warrior is not a man of beliefs. He believes in his sister, in defense of the weak, when it suits him, and in the strength of his body. He does not follow any religion or principal beliefs except one; his sister matters more to him than anything in the world, excluding maybe his new family. His eyes have never been for the future. Miles leaves the aspiring and planning to his sister; he lives in the moment. Passion and money guide him more than anything else.

Profession - Florist

Sexuality - Bisexual. Ariadne has felt attraction
to both genders but never really acknowledged
her feelings for the same sex. Her confusion and
self doubt have lead her to a number of...
unsavory relationships.

Family - Aria's mother, Violet, fell in love with a
charming man who, after discovering she was
pregnant with his child, ran away. Left on her
own, Violet was forced to raise her new child by
herself for the first few years before marrying
a man she thought loved her. The marriage did
not go well and while Aria grew up with a doting
mother, her step-father left a lot to be desired
in a male figure.

Relationships - Close friends with her tattoo
parlor neighbors. Mothers her assistants. Keeps
constant contact with her mother and grand-
mother.

Pets - Peaches; a female albino corn snake she
often refers to as her little noodle.

Personality

Ariadne is a quiet, gentle, loving sort. She seeks male approval subconsciously but mistakes controlling tendencies for caring affection; leading her into the arms of a long list of men. Since graduating she's been serial dating; she went two full year without being single for longer than a week and without dating one man longer than a month or two. It wasn't until she met her most recent boyfriend that she settled down; retaining the relationship for almost a year before coming to terms with the fact that he was treating her worse than badly and resolving to leave him. He continued to bother her for months after that. Now she is free of his hold and trying to make her own path; still ignoring her bisexual tendencies and avoiding acknowledging her own lack of self-esteem.

Even after her bad experiences, she is still dangerously trusting and extroverted; trying to cover up her doubts with her happiness. Her naturally flowering, happy disposition is a fair cover for her pain, or so is the hope. She tries her best to be someone to rely on, a supporting figure; when, in fact, she is as fragile as the flowers she cares for.

Appearance

Ariadne is not particularly tall or short, thin or thick; she is average in height and weight with shapely curves and long legs. She isn't particularly active but enjoys early morning runs and has participated in three marathon runs; all for children and animal charities. Her eating habits are frustratingly healthy and mostly vegan. She is completely addicted to green tea.

Both of Aria's biological parents are of Cherokee descent, a fact that made her Irish stepfather extraordinarily agitated, and it is very, very clear in her appearance. She has her mother's warm copper skin and a habit of covering herself in colored marker. Her features are sharp; high, well-defined cheek bones, and a square jaw mark her ethnicity. She keeps her dark hair long but always ties it back; at times she keeps it in a ponytail high on her head, clipped into a messy bun, or, on special occasions, in a braid with flowers weaved into the braid. She very rarely goes without wearing a flower in her hair somewhere. She also enjoys cosmetics (animal safe, of course); red lipstick, dark eyeliner, and hair chalk are some of her favorites.

Aria's fashion sense usually includes bright colors, studs, fake leather; she likes to mix her delicate flowers with tough looking, form fitting pieces. Her usual look consists of a tight tank top, a flannel shirt, and jeans, tucked under a pair of bright colored rain boots or combat boots, depending on her mood. Carnations and daisies are her favorite floral accessories.

likes to tease Swan. She is one of the few people
who call him Charles. She is completely in love with

Personality

Miri is an exuberantly happy, excitable nerd. Her favorite pass time is gushing about the things she loves; a habit that, because of her constant habit of babbling at the customers, has gotten her tentatively banished her to the back room, leaving Swan to deal with the customers. Her happy, bubbly attitude and passion for her interests are seemingly unstoppable; much to Swan's dismay.

Appearance

Miri is of African American descent. Her skin is on the lighter side but her hair and eyes are both very dark. Naturally her hair forms very tight, springy curls but for a long time she hated this and would constantly straighten, dye, and otherwise try to force her curls into submission leaving it flat and dry. Shortly after taking up employment at the shop Aria commented that she liked Miri's natural hair and since the girl has taken up the long and arduous task of bringing life back to her hair.

She dresses simply favoring canvas sneakers, band tees, and denim overalls at work. She wears huge, thick glasses to deal with her painfully awful sight. She is on the pudgy side and prefers to keep her hair up in pigtails.

Charles Swanson

Profession - Florist's Assistant

Sexuality - Heteroflexible. "No homo"... except
maybe a little sometimes.

Family - Swan was left on the doorstep of a day
care when he was a baby, only a few weeks old.
He was adopted by a widowed man after the
death of his wife and, though cared for, Swan
never felt truly wanted. He was raised by a
menagerie of nannies; never having the same
caretaker very long as he was so troublesome.
Though now in college at the expense of his
father, he still struggles with the idea of his
birth mother.

Relationships - Swan has very few friends;
he has a bad habit of secluding himself. The
flower shop is one of the few places he leaves
his room for. He treats Miri like his annoying
little sister and looks to Ariadne half as a
mother figure and half possessively.

Pets - None.

Notes -
Terrified of small animals.
Speaks four fictional languages; Huttese,
Klingon, Tolkien Elvish, and Mando'a.
Doesn't even like flowers very much.

Personality

Swanson is a pretty simple guy; he does his best to come off as harsh and uncaring to cover up his own inferiority complex. He fears no one will ever love or accept him so he habitually pushes them away. He has little motivation to succeed and little to no confidence in himself, but pretends to know everything about everything to cover up that fact. Growing up the only son of an incredibly rich man he feels entitled to have anything, any anyone, he wants. That's how he got into an Ivy League school on crap and Cs, that's how he dated a model for a summer, and that's why he gets angry with himself for being unhappy; he has everything he could ever want and yet, in the classic way of people with money, is still unhappy.

Appearance

Swan has light blonde hair, to the point that it almost looks bleached, and blue eyes. He's trying to grow in a beard but with his light hair and baby face he looks particularly silly. He is very average in size, if a little long, and favors sweaters and button down shirts paired with jeans. He is a very, very dedicated hipster.
