▹A smuggler ship at the edge of the known galaxy, full
of passengers from all walks of life, all seeking a new
beginning in a new place, far from solar systems in
which they are outcasts or criminals, and they all
land on one lonely unknown planet far from anything
they've ever experienced. The natives are strange,
cat-like and skittish. Will thoughts of aggression or
peace preside? And how will the castaways handle
their situation?

▹The planet is small, volatile, and bright. It features
huge cliffs and valleys, like those of Earth's moon, all
covered in think, brightly colored vegetation. A veil of
pastels and neon sits over the planet, but dangers hide
in the huge canopy. The calls of the natives echo through
the trees, like monkeys but eerily human as they leap
through the branches, always hunting, always aware. The
heavy footfalls of the invaders crunch through the leaves.

▹The hero corporation, R.I.S.E., is unquestionably at the
top of the world. With superhero work at a premium price
and the media focused on powered individuals in the way
the old world fixated on celebrities, R.I.S.E. has a mono-
poly on the most lucrative commodity in the modern world.
But, with the world in their hands, it was only a matter of
time before they took advantage. R.I.S.E. is becoming out
of control, the power in their hands festering into some-
thing dark; something the public refuses to acknowledge. In
a world where the heroes are unknowingly a force of evil,
what will become of those who see the truth?

▹Elysium is a diamond, glinting in the sunlight more brilliantly
than any jewel. The streets are perfect, a parallel grid carved
into the flesh of the earth. The buildings tower, soaring into
the sky like graceful and indignant species, the sky no barrier
to their height. This city is the seat of Riser power and, with
that, comes a booming criminal industry. No amount of sparkle
could hide the grim underbelly of the city and yet people live
easily, serenely comforted by the figures sweeping across the
sky in flight, the knowledge that all will be well as long as the
heroes exist to protect them.

le in sunlight and repeat high school over and over, and remain ignorant of
the presence of vampires in their everyday lives, a booming community of
immortal beings pass day after day of their immortal lives. Vampires fill
prominent positions at the heads of global businesses, as musicians and
composers, and everything in between. Unbeknownst to the public, vamp-
ires have their own complex infrastructure, their own leadership positions,
and entire civilizations of their own, fit snugly in their place between the
realm of normal existence and that of the supernatural.The Elders have the
control of entire cities of their own and each sets the rules for the Kin with-
in. Everything goes according to plan among the Kin or there's blood to pay.

▹▹A pair of vampires have been intertwined since the beginning; they have
loved and will love each other forever, or until the void takes them. They
return to each other after a centuries long fight to commemorate their
centenary, but returning to each other after so long is difficult at best.
▹▹One of the Ancients, a centuries old vampire with no foothold in the pres-
ent, finds a human that they cannot bear to drain. In a moment of weak-
ness, they Sire their first Child in a millennia. Having lived so long apart
from other Kin, the sudden responsibility of caring for a New Born is off-
putting. What will become of the Ancient and their new Childe?
▹▹A vampire, Borne just before the American Civil war, has spent most of
their unlife apart from their Kin, having alienated themself after the death
of their human lover, a musical soldier. When a wounded human resembling
their lost love finds their way to the shut-in vampire's doorstep, they hardly
know what to do.

▹Some crazy stuff gets advertised on Craigslist. Human sized-
hamster wheels, prison pen-pals, even some very... odd per-
sonal adverts. But it wasn't anything like that that kick-started
our story; nope, it was just an innocent, mundane antique dre-
sser that was cheap and looked like it would fit in well in a bed-
room. Inside the second drawer, tucked neatly into the far left
corner, was a worn and faded Lisa Frank journal covered in cats
and peace-signs and unicorns that looked like they'd been design-
ed by the gay pride committee. It didn't seem like anything worth
noting so the unsuspecting purchaser of the dresser cracked open
the nineties relic and peeked inside. The contents were not the
expected poorly drawn figures and colorful illustrations; the pages
were covered in scrawled notes in marker, crayon, colored pens and
pencils, detailed ingredient lists including things ranging from "a
dash of cinnamon" to "a half-pint of virgin's blood", carefully drawn
pentagrams and runic symbols arranged into words only a scholar
could read... It appeared to be a child's journal full of spells and
potions. What kind of sick joke was it? But when the book is opened
and a spell or two jokingly cast, the purchaser realizes with a start
that all of it is real. What do you do with that knowledge?
