Why she is blind: Jemmie was born prematurely, and unfortunately suffered a few consequences to her health because of it. Her mother abandoned her and refused to care for her, and while her people tried to care for her the best they could, they could only do so much. They eventually were able to get her enough medical care to fix the structural problems with her paws, but while she was finally able to walk right, she would never be able to see. There was little anyone could do, and it was suggested she was put down because of it. Thankfully she was a very intelligent bunny and was able to learn how to use her other senses to find her way around. While she may still need help from time to time, Jemmie has proven her life is just fine- even without her eyesight!

Why she is blind: She was a gift for a small child for easter, clearly a horrible idea. The child was too rough with her - rendering her blind. And when she "didn't get along with her owner", or in other words was simply defending herself as she was scared(the child was hurting her, who wouldn't be afraid?) she was taken to a local pet store. That's where I found her and traced her papers back to here.
