Brother Bear After discovering the movie Brother Bear at age five, Koda's obsession with the movie only grew, most likely because one of the main characters- his favorite- was named Koda, and for a while he believed the movie character was named after him. Believe it or not, Koda actually looked up to the characters in the movie, and adapted the cheesy but true idea that love of family is important. Koda chooses to watch the movie at least once a week, if not more times, and although his obsession will die out in his teenage years, it will always be a favorite movie that helped shape his personality.
Personality Soon enough, Koda's personality actually mirrored that of the bear in the movie's. Koda is a very immature plumerian, and although he is not as into pulling pranks or being mischievous as his brother is, Koda tends to laugh when humor isn't needed, which annoys many people plumies. Koda is also very talkative, and could go on and on blabbering about anything from a family road trip to the color of his new shoes. Koda would rather fill uncomfortable silences with his own voice, even if it means he is just talking to himself.
Koda could also be considered a very dramatic plumerian, and will over exaggerate when telling a any story, just to pull people in, and get more attention. He has never had any trouble speaking in front of large groups of people, even though his clumsy feet will trip him up and make him seem more nervous than he really is. One could say that Koda is arrogant, for it is a well known fact that he thinks a lot of himself, but he won't treat other people like they are beneath him, because he doesn't think that they are.
▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁
▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁
Koda is a very family and friend oriented plumerian, and really likes to hang out with both those he is related to, and the people he's met. He constantly worries about losing anyone close to him, and hates it when that actually happens. Koda hasn't had to move around much in his life, and doesn't really understand how other people//plumerians do that, because of his ability to get attached to people easily. Koda enjoys anything from just talking to others to playing games or sports with them, as long as he is doing something he enjoys with someone he enjoys being with. Overall, Koda loves all of his friends and family, and will always be loyal to them.
▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁
the twin brother - Caspian Belrose
Caspian and Koda's relationship can appear to be just what you'd expect from the stereotypical twin brothers: arguments over who is older, wrestling, and a bit of pranking here and there. But, they are very different characters, and once you know each of them separately, it's clear that they are not just the average twins. The two do get into arguments often, but Koda is normally the one to admit he was wrong- even if he wasn't, in fear of every time he sees his brother might be his last time, which he has been paranoid since his first time watching "Brother Bear".
the mother - Zevia Belrose
It could be said that Koda has his mother wrapped around his finger. He's a bit of a spoiled child, and will look up at her whenever he sees something he wants, using what has become known as his "puppy dog face". He loves his mother more than anything she could ever get him, and she is probably his favorite parent, although he loves his dad a lot too. Koda will often talk to his mother a lot, and tells her about any problems he may have so that she can reassure him.
the father - Alto Belrose
Koda absolutely loves playing with Alto's paints, most of the time to make paw prints on the walls, which he has gotten into trouble for more than once. Although Koda does like to experiment with paints to see what he can make, so far no artistic talent has appeared in the young plumerian. That doesn't stop Alto from showing Koda some of his painting techniques to see what the young boy can paint, and they both have a great time bonding over art.
no I don't like her - Antoinette
The already clumsy Koda gets even more so whenever he is around Antoinette, who has been one of his best friends for as long as he can remember, which really isn't that long to be completely honest. He has always admired Antoinette and how she can make anyone listen to her with her outspokenness. He's had a crush on her for a while, but doubts the feelings are returned, and doubts that the crush could actually lead to anything.
the "over protective" brother - Oliver
Oliver's the twin sister of Antoinette (see above), and one day, Koda made the mistake of telling him about the little crush she had on his sister. Oliver went into what Koda calls the "over protective same-age brother mode", and tried to stop the two from interacting a lot, despite the fact that the pair were best friends, and six years old.
the quiet friend - Lyra Lupus
Lyra, more often known as Lunar, is pretty new to Koda's circle of friends. He only met her last year, when he was in school, and desperately needed help on his math homework. She's not a child prodigy or anything, but was definitely smarter than Koda, and he badly needed help on his work. His parents wouldn't really appreciate it if he came home with an F in 1st grade, now would they?
she's awesome, really - Treacle
Treacle is one of Koda's best friends, and he loves having her around to hang out with. The pair talk a lot, and are inseparable at school, even if they have to part ways in order to walk home. Koda has known her since he started elementary school, but never really got to know her until second grade, when he got over the whole "Eww, girls have cooties," faze, which took longer than it should have.
headcannons about Koda's relationships
- He and Antoinette will "date" for a while, before breaking up and deciding to just be friends. They both get teased about it by friends and family.
- Koda will develop a crush Treacle in teenage years, blushes excessively when she talks to him even though they are best friends.
- His mom will become someone to vent to in his later teenage years, and he will never be the stereotypical bratty teenager to her, even if he is to his brother and dad.
- Koda will possibly like Lunar later on, and call her Lyra just to annoy her.
