Story;
Adam walked in the streets, the sun setting. Adam felt a push on his shoulder “Watch where your going!” He snapped at the plumie.
He grunted still going as he glanced around keeping his head low, until around the corner, he opened it with his key and shut the door. As soon as he got inside he heard a knock, he opened the door to see a young girl, “Would you like to buy some cookies?” she asked, “When I buy that, ill get a million dollars.” He said plainly and shut the door.

      ▻Name; Arthur Almiron
▻Story; Sitting back heavily into the modeled office chair, for one brief moment Arthur allowed the exhaustion of the day to touch his normally rigid features. His ever so straight shoulders sagged under the burden of responsibility, and his eyes fell close as he succumbed to the stress he had managed to cover for the good portion of the day.

Whoever said it would be easy taking over the family finances had been sorely misinformed.

Even with an impressive business already built from its foundation by his father, the monotony of everyday life in the office was beginning to take its toll. Never before had Arthur considered himself a particularly vigorous or active youth, the call of wanderlust never possessing any grip on his mind. In fact, with all his traits, one would be likely to believe the life of a business owner would have suited him perfectly. And yet, the truth defied all reason or logic, and Arthur found that each passing day bore new weight, the likes of which no other task had ever presented him with.

It was the soft knock at his door that finally broke through his thoughts, snapping his eyes open just before the timid employee slipped through the doorway into the lavish office.

“What is it now?” he snapped at the interruption, voice cold and laced with irritation. In the moment it took for his subordinate to enter the room his posture resumed its inscrutable form, presenting himself with the intimidating air all knew to surround him- just as it did his father. His cold blue eyes bore on unsympathetically as the man shuffled with unease, lacking any amusement as he awaited an explanation for thr intrusion.

“I’m sorry, sir, I just thought you’d like the most recent progress report,” the employee replied, very nearly stumbling in his haste to get out his words and escape the intense, blue gaze that bore into him. His gaze, as vibrant as it was, seemed to have the tendency to do that.

“Thank you,” Arthur said simply in reply, the irritation lifted from his voice, although it still held a hard edge. In another second the employee was gone, leaving him alone with the vile reportt lingering on his desk. Standing up to pace for a moment, not yet having the nerve to open it, Arthur allowed his gaze to travel out the window.

Ironically enough, it was not the work that drove him to such irritation. No, the work he enjoyed- it was those he worked with that ultimately drove his displeasure. Not to mention the confines of such an office, and the business it represented. Never had Arthur’s family been short on fortune, with a lineage of wealthy businessmen heading it for several generations, and such had provided more wealth than most saw in one lifetime. As such, when younger he had been allowed to work as he would on any project he set his mind to- money, after all, was never an issue.

Science had always been a particular passion of his. Before he had reached his tenth birthday he had learned and developed ways to build and work with robotics, often times much more advanced than one would ever expect from a child his age. Genius, he had often times been praised as, although at the time it had meant rather little to him. Just another word in an ever expanding vocabulary, and it did very little to be a genius if you did not possess the tenacity to strive for something better. So, that was precisely what he had done; each day.

Science, however, was not the area in which his father specialized. It was expected, nearly form birth, that he should be his father’s predecessor and any… Hobbies, gained along the way would be pushed aside for a far greater cause; running the family business, of course. Duty bound to father and family, Arthur had accepted such responsibility without complaint. At least, not verbally.

Turning, Arthur took a moment to return to his desk, something far different than the report in his mind. Rummaging in the top drawer produced an old, bound sketchbook, filled to the brink with ideas of all sort. Some, simply ludicrous, and other, given the right amount of time and dedication, quite possibly viable. Every technological and scientific idea he had had since a child, all bound neatly into an over sized sketchbook.

Sentimental items, of any sort, were not normally things that Arthur kept. And yet, despite that, the sketchbook had made its way into his desk, where it stayed, unmoving. Perhaps it was his own little symbol of hope, he mused ruefully, gently skimming through the pages nostalgically. A hope for a future better than the one he saw now, and perhaps, just perhaps the possibility of being the one to bring about that remarkable change.

Please don't copy this idea, I've used it for other applications, but a different story for each pet, all about this world and this idea.
If you steal it, you're just a loser because you can't think of your own ideas >.>

PS: I feel sorry who has to read all of this ;n; I'm sorry

    Name; Cobalt

    Story; ...this could be long?

The life of a dream walker is a complicated one.
Some are born with the true ability.
Some earn theirs, granted by the Guardians.
Some are born with the capacity to enter the realm.
And then there are those few born in the realm, but lack the ability therefore remain in perpetual reverie.

Cobalt was born to a dream walker, but lacked the recessive gene. He was not like his mother, he was ordinary. But he was born in the dream realm, the land found only by those not searching for it. He was born into light, but left in darkness, for his mother could not remain in the dream realm and departed unwillingly, leaving Cobalt alone.

He was cared for by visiting dream walkers, each confused by the child living in the dream realm. Cobalt grew up never knowing his mother, nor any person for longer than their short time in the dream realm.

His entire life, he questioned his own existence, never understanding why everybody who came, left. He was lonely, so lonely. It hurt to think he was undeserving of friends, of family, of a true life.

The visitors told him what the real world was like, and told him he was lucky to live in the dream realm. If only they understood how lonely it was. They'd never had the chance to properly explore the land. It was beautiful.

It's know for it colour, it's vibrancy. Everything glowed and shimmered, there is nothing that is not beautiful. On one side there was a blue lake, shimmering with moonlight. Fireflies hovered over, glowing all different hues. Around the rim of the lake were different water-type plants, reeds with silver tips, willow trees swaying in the wind, light radiating from glowing tendrils hanging from the branches. A soft mist surrounded the lake, shrouding tiny critters scurrying around.

To the left was a thick, dark forest. Twisted trees curled around diamond pillars, shining amongst violet shadows. The trees reached high with thick, twisted trunks. Roots jutted out of the ground, coated in silver dust. The leaves of the trees were all shades of blue, green and purple. Moonlight licked the canopy, bathing the leaves in light, causing them to glow ever so slightly.

A path led through the forest, lit up by glowing plants: moonblossoms and lamperos flowers. The night sky was lit up by a host of thousands, stars all twinkling and sparkling. The moon was large, hanging low above the lake. Song echoed around, a melody carried by the breeze that smelled of spring. Beneath one's paws was pale blue grass, shimmering with magic, softer than feathers. Flower petals speckled the ground in a sort of path, as if the world itself was beckoned the visitors to it's depths.

But they never saw beyond this. They knew only the view from the hillside, the portal between the real world and the dream realm. Cobalt explored it all; he knew the forest, every tree and pillar. He often slept beneath willow trees, gazing upon the lake as it reflected starlight.

Cobalt never experienced day, nor seasons. The dream realm always remained the same, pure, harmonious, serene, but lonely.

While dream walkers walked in dreams and dreamed of entering the dream realm he dreamed of escaping it, of breaking free into the world of light. There was only one way, to become a dream walker.

Becoming one was no easy feat, for only the purest of heart, mind and soul could become a dream walker. Cobalt was none of these. He was troubled, angry and feisty. He never understood the basics of kindness, for he rarely came across any who required kindness.

Sometimes he would lash out at visitors. He would scare them away. He would shout, he would cry, but all he wanted was to prove himself. He wanted to be kind, to be pure.

He tried his best to help those in need, but when nobody in the dream realm ever had need for assistance...what could one do?

His chances changed dramatically with the arrival of Inara.

She was an orphaned dream walker, born to two dream walkers who both died protecting her. When she arrived, startled, into the dream realm she was lost, confused and in tears.

When he saw her, he could barely see past her shimmering silver pelt and clear blue eyes. He fell in love with her before she ever spoke. He welcomed her to the world and consoled her, told her that everything would be alright.

He taught her what a dream walker was, told her how she arrived, told her what the dream realm was. He knew she would leave soon, he was ready for her to fade away, never to be seen again. But she never did. She kept walking beside him, their pelts brushing against each other.

He took her into the forest and beyond. He showed her the city, passing through the moonlit promenade, bordered by a crystal colonnade. He took her into a towering structure of crystal, decorated with shards of various gemstones, peaked by a silver spire.

He took her up and up to the highest point, where the view was greatest. Overlooking the forest, lake, and hilltop where the fireflies flew. A cool breeze ruffled their fur, they sat close together for warmth.

He thought she would stay with him forever, and she believed she would be stuck in this world with this stranger forever, but she didn't mind anymore. He had been kind to her, showed her the way. He was honest with her, he told her how he was trapped here, and that she could be too, for she had stayed longer than any other ever had.

"Cobalt, what if I do leave?" she whispered softly into his ear, causing his body to vibrate in purrs.

"If you leave, I'll have no choice but to follow you."

"But you can't, you already said." He let out a sigh, knowing she was right. If she left, he would not know what to do.

"I need to prove myself worthy of becoming a dream walker, if I want to leave. I have to prove I'm pure..."

    "How do you do that?"

"I'm not sure, by helping others, I guess."

"Well you helped me," she smiled, brushing her head against his neck.

"It needs to be something more," he said softly, almost inaudibly. He knew it was inevitable; she would leave and he would be heartbroken, always searching for a way out.

Maybe the Guardians would grant him his leave. Maybe they wouldn't, they had yet to deal with his entrapment, obviously they couldn't care less.

"Tell me more about dream walkers and the dream realm. I still don't fully understand it."

"This is the dream realm, as you know. It's like a dream in a dream, a place where dreams are stored. Every speck of light you see is a dream and if you look close enough, you might get a glimpse of the dream in motion."

    "Wow!"

"Yeah, when I'm alone I sometimes watch dreams, because obviously I can't dream walk. This world is only accessible to dream walkers, I'm the only non-walker in existence who knows about it."

"You're also the only one stuck in it."

"A mistake, but I've lived with it. Dream walkers can only access this world...well...randomly. If you want to, you can't. You find yourself here when you least expect to. You must be awake when you enter, you cannot enter if you're dream walking."

    "How do they dream walk?"

"I'm not sure, but when they fall asleep, they just kinda do. It requires training, practice to efficiently access and keep dreams untainted"

    "Untainted?"

"The purpose of a dream walker is to protect dreamers, to keep their dreams pure. To keep out the nightmares."

    "That's cool."

"Yes. It's a huge responsibility. Those who shun their duty never access the dream realm. Some find them self in the realm before they discover what a dream walker is, like you."

    "I'm glad, if I weren't a dream walker, I never would've met you!"

"I agree, Inara. You are the most amazing dream walker to ever enter. I'm glad you are trapped in here, for however long. Before you came, I was so lost. You being here has already made me better."

They sat side by side for many minutes, before a light in the sky made them both look up.

    "What's that?"

"Oh you must see! There's no rain in the dream realm, the land survives off of moondust." The sky showered with shimmering specks, gently drifting towards the ground. It looks like rain falling from the stars. It was amazing. Inara watched on in awe and Cobalt gazed at her with more love than he'd ever felt in his life.

They spent that rainy night, as if they'd never see each other again and they were right to do so.

When Cobalt woke the next morning Inara was gone. He knew deep down that she had faded while they slept, but his heart was not ready to let her go. He searched everywhere to no avail, for she was well and truly gone.

Cobalt was beyond heartbroken, he was lost again. He stopped greeting visitors, he stopped taking care of himself. He spent his nights weeping and sleeping. He remained beneath the willow trees, where the reflection in the lake could not reflect how far he'd gone.

He cared not for himself, nor the visitors who entered the realm. He cared only for his broken heart, the little pieces searching for Inara.

He was like this for longer than can be said. The Guardians knew this would happen and they pitied him, but they could not help him. He had not proven himself, he had done quite the opposite. He proved that he was not worthy, he proved he could not handle loss.

After many cycles, a visitor came, one Cobalt saw and instantly recognized. It was not Inara, that much was sure, but it looked so much like her, he had to see.

The young dream walker stood atop the hill for the first time completely sure of herself. She stood tall and proud and scanned the horizon with entranced, electric blue eyes. Her silver pelt glowed with a blue aura and Cobalt knew. When she saw him approach her, she too knew.

"Father," she spoke in a soft voice, similar to her mothers and it filled Cobalt's heart with melancholy. He walked around her before closing in on her and pressing against her.

"Hello." They stood in silence, together. He loved her only because he had felt so lost without Inara, but deep down his heart was trying to repair itself. She cared not for him, for she barely knew him, but her mother told her many stories of her father. She knew who he was, what he'd done for Inara and respected him.

But he had never been there for her. She knew he had no choice, but she was bitter towards him for not trying. Surely he could've found a way out?

"She missed you. She told me about you. You should've been there.?"

    "I couldn't. I am not pure, I'm too-"

"Save it." Her ignorance surprised him. He knew there was no escape, surely Inara had told their daughter there was no escape? This person was nothing like Inara. She wasn't sweet, she was harsh, she was fierce. She was the product of purity and impurity. Cobalt nodded his head at her.

"I apologize for not being there for you, daughter. How is Inara?"

"She's fine, but distant. She walks in dreams and searches for the realm." Inara would never fine the realm if she searched.

"When you return, tell her to stop searching. Tell her I'll wait for her forever. Tell her that if she searches, she can never come back. She must let go." Already her pelt was shimmering, growing translucent. She knew this, for she suddenly seemed urgent.

"I will, but please, don't give up. Wait for her, she loves you."

    "What's you name!?"

"Shard," her last word was almost a whisper, before she was gone, faded back into the real world.

When she was gone, Cobalt let out a deep breath. Something had been lifted off his chest, whether it was the desire to see Inara again, or just the loneliness he had felt. He felt better.

He slept in the tower, watching the moondust fall, reminiscing of the night he had spent with her. Inara missed him, he missed her and he needed to get to her, no matter how impossible.

That night she visited him. She found his dreams and she walked in them. She followed him where he went and kept his dreams untainted. He barely realized, but he knew. The Guardians also knew. They watched Inara and they saw her melancholy. They could see how much she missed him.

They knew he could not become a dream walker, he was not pure of heart, but Inara was the purest dream walker of them all and they pitied her.

She constantly thought of the dream realm, and she could not visit it, the Guardians knew this, but they could not bear to watch her continue so alone.

When Cobalt woke, he ventured back to the hilltop, but became distracted by a glowing orb along the way. He approached it, but it moved away. He attempted to catch it again, but it would not allow him to touch it. He followed it through the forest until he came upon a puddle.

The water was clear and did not reflect the canopy above. It was filled with sky and starlight and when he looked into it, he saw her. She too had come across a pool of starlight and found Cobalt in it's depths.

They gazed at each other, unsure of what to do. They thought they were going crazy, until Cobalt fell into the pool and found himself on the other side.

"Cobalt?!" Inara exclaimed, question whether she was awake or asleep.

"Ugh," Cobalt groaned, groggy from the feeling of crossing realms. He opened his eyes and when he saw her his heart soared.

    "Inara!"

To continue or to not continue, that is the question xD
I will probably add more to the ending later c:

    Art; probably not ;n;

    THIS IS A WIP!!!
