Name: Sensuikan Marine
Story: "Sensuikan..."
The snoring plumerian didn't budge, his eyes sealed shut
as he drooled on his friends leg. New York didn't much mind it,
as every time their frat group got together for 'movie marathon night',
he'd find a leg to sleep on.
"SENSU!" New York shouted, only to get his frat brother awake.
Startled, Sensuikan jolted awake, his eyes snapping open as he rolled off
the couch with a muffled yelp. Wide eyed, he looked at the ceiling for a
few moments before sitting up and rubbing the back of his now
very sore head.
"Hey, what was that for?" He exclaimed, setting a fake pout upon his
face, trying to resist the urge to break into a large grin. It bothered him how
New York was okay with his sleeping habits, he LOVED to mess around with
others, and the fact he couldn't anymore with this man yanked his taught chain.
"Your running late."
Confusion swept over Sen. "...late, for what?" He mustered in question, all emotion
sweeping from his face as a blanket of serious nature crowded under his brow.
"The movies? A party? A birthday? A wedding? A-"
"Rehearsals?" New York asked Sen, crossing his arms and raising a brow.
The reminder hit Sensu straight in the gut. His heart fell into his stomach as
he scrambled to his feet, rushing over to a lone chair and yanking his vest off of
one of the other frat boy's drinks, knocking it over. Not caring much for the mess,
he pulled the vest over his body, buttoning it while he hopped over to his shoes,
sliding his sock-less feet into them. It felt quite odd but he needed to hurry.
"Thanks for reminding me before Mr.Feren Killed me!" He exclaimed in relief,
throwing open the front door, stepping outside, and closing it.
New York lounged back against the couch, throwing his
arms behind his head, closing his eyes. "No problem." He muttered quietly.
~
Sensuikan ran off the porch, and stopped after he crossed the street. He
glanced around in frantic defeat. No matter what way he took,
even if he ran, he wouldn't be able to reach the rehearsal hall by road or
side-walk.
He groaned, arching his back and sliding his hands down his face. "I'm
screwed," He whined. Just as he did, a spark of thought raced through his
head. How did he not think of this sooner? He practically threw his hands
away from his face, a grin sliding across it as he raced forward, into the woods.
Of course, it was dangerous to go in during the day, what with the supposed bears,
old and possibly still active boobie-traps, and wild animals, but of course
the night
was much more safer since your limited of most to all sight.Being the thick headed young man he was, the thought never did cross his mind,
nor did the thought of running into any burglars, jumpers, or murders. Nor did
he even THINK to ask New York what time it was, despite how late it looked outside.
Ducking and dodging under branches RIGHT as they were about to strike him, Sensu
made his way through the start of the forest. This went on for a bit before he finally reached
the clearing he remembered going to as a young boy, back when he wasn't ashamed of the
glow in his eyes, back when he didn't hide the hardest emotions that struck him,
back when
he wasn't late for vocal practice. He took a small brake, well, more of a pit stop as it was only a couple of minutes.
Bracing himself against an old, dead tree, he gazed up at the stars as he caught his breath.
'I wonder how they're doing up there,' He thought to himself as he finally started off through
the tree's again.
~
About twenty minutes of practically running in circles and acting like a video game
{Ducking and jumping over low hanging branches, bushes, etc.}, Sensuikan ran into the, well,
unpleasant part of the forest. Thorn laced bushes covered the floors, along with
trash, crushed cans, and thorny vines that hung from the tree's.
Sighing, Sensu took one glance around at what his eyes could illuminate before him.
"Well, at least I know I'm near my point of interest," He muttered to himself beneath his
breath, worried if anyone was still out in the area at the time, especially that cranky old
lady who owned that run down cabin a few hundred yards away.
After a few moments, he started off running again. He winced as a thorn-ed vine caught against
his sleeve, and he struggled free with a dissatisfying tear of the fabric. Snarling slightly, he placed a
hand over the tear in the sleeve. "Not again."
Suddenly, one of his shoes caught on a bush which he did not catch in his vision, and with a yelp that
sent birds flying out of the tree's, he fell forward to the floor and slid a few feet. He lay there
for a good 5 minutes, staring off at a broken Dr.Pepper can, wondering if he was dead as the
only thing that entered his ears was a sharp ringing. He moved his hand out from beneath his chest,
looking at it. He had a small cut on the center of his palm, but he could see his wound, he could feel
the pain, he wasn't dead.
Grunting, Sensuikan lifted himself off the floor, staggering to his feet and bracing himself against a
tree to gather his thoughts and look himself over as the ringing in his ears subsided. He glanced down at
a stinging portion of his fore arm, alas, he had scraped it against the thorns against that darned bush
and it was bleeding. Grumbling, he patted his face to feel for any blood, to make sure he hadn't
cut himself on his
gorgeous face.He hit his left cheek, right under his eye and he winced away from his own hands, cursing quietly.
"Man," He hissed. He could no longer hope he hadn't injured his face, for there was enough evidence of
PAIN to prove it. Trying to take his mind off of his face, he looked down at his feet. He was missing both shoes now,
and the bottom of his pants were torn slightly.
"He's going to be SOO mad at me," Sensu told himself with a thick sigh, making his way out of the forest,
after a near 30 minute run. He was praying they hadn't left yet, and that they had water, any water.
Or soda at the least, though he wasn't too fond of bubbling drinks.
Sighing, he made his way into the parking lot of the practice hall. Instantly, he noticed an abandoned glass. It was
full of what he assumed to be sparkling white grape juice, but you could never know fully unless you poured it.
Not thinking twice, he went over to the glass and picked it up, raising it in the air and swiveling to where the bus should
have been. "I'm here!" He exclaimed proudly.
Nothing was there.
Sensuikan's ears flattened against his head, and he lowered the glass, dumping
the contents to the floor. A small in-plumerian whine escaped from his mouth. "It's
not Monday." He groaned, throwing the glass against the wall and groaning as he put his hands
atop his head.
--
Having accepted the mis-conception with the date, Sensuikan had slumped
down on the sidewalk, head hanging low as he thought over what happened that night,
and how in the world he forgot the day when he had NO class that day. He sighed,
running his hand across his head.
Suddenly, he saw the road before him becoming slightly brighter, then a bit more,
and more, until it was tad too bright for him to bear. He lifted his head, putting
a hand over his squinting eye's so he could see what was stopping in front of him.
It was a blue sedan, with it's inside lights on and fog headlights
blaring against the glimmering asphalt. A girl sat inside the front seat. A familiar
girl he couldn't get his mind off at times. As she rolled down the window, he took
his hand away from his face, a quizzical look crossing over his face.
"Catalena?" He asked, getting to his feet and walking over to the window, placing his hands
against the seems of the glass, and bending down to stick his head in the car.
"Sensuikan?" She asked, slightly leaning out of the window.
"What are you doing out here so late?" Both said in curious sync. Sensu smiled slightly
before tagging a comment of curtsy.
"Ladies first."
Catalena rolled her eyes with a brief sigh, sinking back into her chair, giving him her famous
'Stop trying to get out of this' look. "I left my journal in the front lounge, near the elevator. Now,
what in the world are you doing here?!" She exclaimed, using her hands to talk now, motioning over
his whole body. "What happened to you!"
Rolling his eyes, Sen took his hands away from the window and walked around the front of the
car to the passenger seat door. Opening it and sitting down in the seat, he closed the door and took his
time opening the window before sticking his arm out and looking at Catalena with a chuckle in
his eyes.
"It all started with 5 horror movies and a frat party..." He started, before
droning on while Catalena drove up to the front of the building before parking to listen to his
explanation.
