Hey all, my adoption center is finally open! For the first adopt, I thought I'd do a rare one.

If you have followed my art for a bit, you may recognize this species from some drawings I did a while ago. This is a Veligo! I originally was going to have this specific design be a paid one on DA, but I never got around to setting it up, so you guys have a chance to get it for free. This is probs gonna be the only free veligo for a while, so take advantage of this opportunity.

Veligo

*These live in the same world as pallios. (This means you can totally make them pals with a pallio/bacintus if you want to)

- They have a membrane sack on their cheeks and throat which stores a colorful poisonous gas that the veligo can spew out from their mouths. The gas is thick and resembles billowing smoke. The gas can have different effects depending on how much is inhaled. Small amounts would cause slight dizziness and confusion, while very large amounts can cause some nasty things to happen, including death if the thing inhaling it doesn't get fresh air. A veligo is usually fine when exposed to the poison of another, but in very large amounts/long exposure, they'll begin to feel dizzy. It is possible for another species to build up an immunity to a veligo's poisonous gas by exposing itself to small amounts over time.

Okay, now that you have somewhat of a grasp on what a veligo is, let's get going on how to adopt this one.

-I should note that this veligo does not have a snaggle tooth thing going on. They have a marking on their mouth that makes it look like that. Please refer to the anatomy sheet to see how their mouths work.

• You may format your form however you want (and add things like borders, etc.) and also add in up to 4 extras. Extras can be relationships (remember, these things live in the same world as pallios!), theme songs, a short story, poems, and pretty much whatever else you can think of. If you're not sure if a thing is okay as an extra, you can always ask me.

• I judge these kinds of comps on effort and creativity. I highly prefer drawings where that show the chara's personality/story, rather than the character just kinda standing there or a plain headshot. The picture doesn't need to be super detailed or pretty, I just want to see some effort on your part, spend a few hours drawing it.

• If you need help drawing the sack thing or the gas, feel free to ask me and I'll make a tutorial.

Deadline is April 25th, for now. May be extended for a few days or so depending on how many complete forms there are by that date. Deadline is May 17th now. New deadline is June 17th.

Veligo Name:Romulan
Nicknames: Geronimo, Rome
Personality: Being on your feet and always on the move is one of the many things Romulan makes sure to do everyday. There is rarely a moment he is still, especially with the amount of energy he contains, which never seems to run out. Rome is always running around trying reach new heights and go farther and faster than before. This determination is extremely useful when he is constantly finding new things to excel at in athletics, however, it often means that Rome gets into trouble. This is especially true when Geronimo goes into his "hero" mode. Whenever somebody is in trouble, most likely hurt, he dashes over to help in anyway he can. Though this seems like a great thing, while Rome has a heart to help, all he can really do is run to get a more qualified person's help. Watching others help the people, though, encourages Romulan to someday become a hero as well, in the true sense.
Romulan is quite the opposite of his namesake, which is one the villianous species of human from Star Trek. Though he does share characteristics from them, including passion and taking oppurtunities, the reason for his namesake is mostly because of its close relationship to Rome. Romans were known for being strong and powerful in their history, and this power and want for success is why Romulan goes by Rome. Give him any task and he will put his full effort into it, as long as it involves actually getting up and doing something that is. Rome goes full force into every task, putting all the effort he has to get it done swiftly and perfectly. This is especially true when concerning sports. Geronimo's competitive nature causes him to give his all when playing against others, even on recreational teams. He doesn't understand how other veligos or pallios could want to just play around in a sport without wanting to win. This often leads to him taking charge of the team and make others frustrated at his "here to win" attitude, yet he gets annoyed by their "just for fun" ideal. This can often make Rome angry and lash out at his teammates. He doesn't harm them, but he does release an explosion of gas from out his mouth to release anger and show he means business.

Veligo name: Eche; from Echeveria, a type of succulent
Personality: Eche is a very chill dude. He doesn't care much for confrontation or wasting time on petty things. He'd rather spend his time just enjoying life and living it happily. He lives in a home with a pallio, Tatum, and the two of them get along very well. He will often times accompany Tatum on her journeys exploring around them. When the two of them aren't exploring, Eche will lay down and not do much at all. Those who know him tend to refer to him as being "lazy" but not in a derogatory fashion. He tends to his succulents, and dabbles in abstract painting. Napping by his plants is one of his favorite pastimes.
