It's a story about the horses ups and downs through life, there are a lot of unlucky moments for Sham in the book but in the end he finds a place for himself and the boy who devoted himself to Sham from the moment of the stallion's birth. I love the book very much and find it is one I never tire of reading because no matter how bad it looks in the end it gets better.
