Rukami (Gulo Stantes) are a newly discovered species of bipedal mammals. Though they resemble wolves, they are actually more closely related to the mustelid family, which includes wolverines, otters, and badgers to name a few. Through natural selection, these rare animals evolved to incredible sizes and developed sentient brains along with opposable thumbs.

This is The Stranger. He can not breed and the chances of him making friends of being in a pack slim... He is a fully functioning Rukami, who simply has a skull for a head and a bone tail, he is constantly drooling black ooze that is similar to oil and his paws emanate red smoke.. He is the equivalent to the grim reaper.

Name: Messorem. She has no need for nicknames, for no one addresses her. Messorem means reaper in Latin, and she chose the language for it's originality and the way the words subtly roll off her tongue. She rather likes the irony, latin being the beginning, and Messorum meaning the bringer of death- the end.

• Angra Mainyu has a strange...fascination, with Akiko, and with her light-healing powers. While most may find the age difference a bit off-putting, Angra Mainyu isn't as old as he looks(only recently reaching adolescene) and just being a large Rukami for his age. But he is more of an essence than a being, as young as a newborn yet as old as time itself - ageless but not.
Angra Mainyu is almost envious of Akiko's healing paws and is almost obsessed with them. He loves her for this, and while he could easily use her strictly for her powers also seems to almost adore her sweet personality and kind nature as well, as they're something he wish he could have been given as well.

Cù-Sìth

Named after a large- tall as a full grown bull- wolf of Scottish folklore. This beast like a grim reaper takes the souls of the dead. His loud barks, always in threes, can be heard for miles upon miles; even out in the sea. The barks are rumored to be a warning to men to hid their wives else he take them back to faery mounds and use them to nurse the demons and faeries there.

Gender nonbinary [ was created after males so that he could inherit their large build and inclination to be strong ]

Basic Personality:

Neutral - Unforgiving - Aloof - Bitter - Eccentric

This brute has little love for any of the true living of his kind. No pity could ever be earned from him, it's all the same in the end. At least that how he views it. Then again he's seen thousands upon thousands of lives, viewing the same thing over and over again- so perhaps he knows better than any other how similar every life really is. Due to his nonchalant view of their lives he has taken a neutral disposition to everything they do. It's not his place to judge- just lead them to the next area of their life.
He's rarely ever dealt in the lives of the living, but with those he has he refuses to let them cross him. It happened only once, and that linage is still paying the dept. Cù-Sìth was betrayed when he allowed a brute to continue living past his death date. He was foolishly young the world only just coming into creation and he still had compassion for the living. The male he let live had promised he was only going to say good bye to his kits and mate, but he never came back. However you can't hid from death, and when Cù-Sìth found the betrayer he took his life on the spot- and then the lives of his descendants. Never the pups, he would always wait for them the be old enough [ and have there own pups ] and then he would send someone after them to end their life short. He can't directly end them, not easily at least, but he always makes sure it happens.
When he does take the dead however in the short time they know him they get to really know him. Cù-Sìth besides his ever lasting grudge is a rather eccentric and odd fellow. With a tittering voice that only seems to hit higher notes to more excited he becomes. His voice is the opposite of what you would expect, instead of the deep sound many associate with him his voice his that who would be interested in theatrics and playing around. Perhaps that is how he sees it, just an act. One last thing for the dead to smile about before no longer existing on their plane of existence.

First Memory:

Pain. It came from everywhere. And a loud splintering cry seeming to come from everywhere at once. After a few moments he realizes the sound is him. He wants to stop but everything hurts. What is he? The thought hits him hard, he doesn't know anything but he seems to know everything. Another shock wave of pain rolls through him and the loud scream coming from him only strengthens.
He can't see anything- everything is black and red. Colors? What is he? How does he know these things. The question won't leave him alone. Open your eyes. The thought comes from no where but it's insistent even though he doesn't know what it means he seems to know what to do. White souless eyes open. Red and black still, but now there are shapes, the world has other colors to.
There is another creature like him. It's not breathing, no it's not living. What is living? He looks down at his clawed hands- black and red. Everything is black and red. He's quickly learning to despise the colors.
In his clutched claws there is a staff. No. A scythe. A weapon? Everyones dead already. Everyone? He looks around again seeing more than just the one rukami now. A battle field. Yes everyone is dead. The pain sears through him again and he cries out, knees buckling below him this time. "What do I do!" Someone is their. In his head, feeding him all this information. What am I? The question is in his own head but he realzes at this point his thoughts would never be his own. Take them. A cold distant response. Quiet an unearthly, but everywhere at once in his head not outside of it. That was the only thought, pain forgotten questions forgotten.
Scythe in paw, he's standing on his hind legs now. It was over in a quick frenzy, the scythe glowed- red and black- and then there was no other souls. Souls? Did he have one? He placed a paw on his chest for moment, but feels nothing. Can you feel a soul? He cries out again, this time there's no pain, but he misses the feeling. There is no feeling now, it's over. It's never over. The voice is back promising ever lasting agony. He wants to ask the voice why, but doesn't it doesn't matter he decides.
What am I? The question remains unanswered.

Daily Life:

He spends his days in pain. It took him little over a week to figure out why. He feels the pain of the lives he must take. He's gained a big resistance to the pain by now, only lives spent in complete misery phase him by now.
Cù-Sìth spends every moment of his life chasing the dead and dying. He rarely ever rests because there are so many deaths happening all the time, and though taking their soul doesn't take that much time he still has little extra time for himself.
When he's not chasing souls he's scheming. His life has been to long for him to not have a pass time. He makes deals with the living, gambling for precious things- not that he cares about material possessions, but taking them gives him a perverse sense of satisfaction.
He also has that one family that he must keep tabs on. He really likes the kits and never makes them pay for their linage starts faults, but once they grow up they're the same to him. Cù-Sìth always gives them the chance to live before taking their soul, a little test to prove they can live down the first betrayers reputation. Very few ever don't betray him, he always takes a special interest in those few watching them and their pups when he has time. One could say he only does this because he's lonely.

Where does this Rukami live:

Never in the same spot. He spends every moment of his existence following the trail of souls left by the dying. He does however have an odd love for the rolling green hills of the moor. Cù-Sìth has little belief in beauty but he can think of nothing prettier than the rolling hills.
On the other hand he has a cave deep in the side of a mountain. The cave leads down into the ever darkening depths so far it feels like you might collapse from exhaustion before you reach it. It's well worth it though. This cave is full of the treasures he's earned. Gold, jewelry, leather crafted by skilled paws, bones made into weapons, metal crafted splendidly, feathers and paint. Everything a material oriented rukami could wish for. The dream treasure trove. It's guarded of course, like everything valuable.

How does this Rukami feel about other Kami?:

He doesn't to be blunt. At least outwardly. He acts like he couldn't care in the least about any Rukami to ever exist. Perhaps it's true that he doesn't care about them. But he would never be able to continue without them. They're his life, they're so intertwined that he would not exist without them. Literally would never have been made without them. He owes his life to them, yet he despises them.
He hates the pain they cause him, he hates the confusion and agony of his first few years of his life. He was thrust into life with no explanation for the sake of these creatures. He hates them for not liking him even though he does so much for them. He hates that they ran from him when mentally he was no older than a new born kit. He hates the despair he felt when he realizes no one would ever like him.
However he'll never admit the hate. Even though his bitterness comes out whenever it's even vaguely prompted.

What is their life secret:

His secret? It's little a secret if you've picked up on the hints throughout the forum. He wants kits. He knows he can't have them, nothing will ever be related to him he knows that. However he loves them, their pure inocesence and happiness. Cù-Sìth can find no fault with them.
This is because when he was created his only comfort, only momentary friend was a lone kit. It's family had been killed in the large battle and it was just as alone as he was. Cù-Sìth and the pup spent all their time together. However he soon realized no one lives forever; the pup was killed when Cù-Sìth wasn't around by a large bear. After taking his soul Sìth realized how much acceptance that pup had shown him, and in that moment decided he want that again.
He wanted to try again- and this time be the one to raise the kit.

How does this Rukami do it's Reaping:

With a scythe. It's a large weapon crafted out of bone. The blade is made of metal- sharper than nearly anything. The actual bone part is embedded with large rubies and obsidian that emit a glow when he's taking someone's soul.
In the actual action pf reaping their souls he isn't gentle, but he isn't rough. As state earlier he sees them all as the same, and doesn't go out of his way to punish them or reward them. He's quick and efficient. However, he does talk to them. Brief short talks as he has a lot to do. He gets to decide if he takes their souls right then or if they will be better off alive. Cù-Sìth has never let anyone live after the first time however, but he still talks to them.
