^That I find a little offensive to be honest. I'm not an expert because I'm just learning on my own, but I know a lot. I did not know of any cases where a lethal white had survived - that's it. Now I know.
But thank you. If you have any sources where I can read about those surviving lethal whites I'd love to know.
And it's not really weird not to know some stuff about equine genetics considering a lot of it is still a mystery and just theories, lethal white and Dominant White being two of them.

Ah... Im late to the party but its an interesting topic so i thought I might share if y'all don't mind. Dominant White and Lethal as well as nonlethal overo foals are different thought Dom. White can still occur. Lethal appears to be a mutation that occurs with homozygous frame overos that affects the colon and causes death in the foals. The nonlethal frame foals [seemingly rare] are not considered Dom. White. They might have extensive markings but they are still considered Frame Overs and can have blue eyes. Similar to how homozygous sabino has "Sabino White'' horses where a nearly all white or seemingly all white foal is produced by the sabino gene.
Dominant White horses are caused by a mutation on the KIT gene which is where Frame, Splash and Sabino [and maybe Tobiano I can't remember if thats on the KIT or not cx] and can pop up at any time as it is a mutation. If you breed two Dom. Whites you can breed Dom. White foals. These horses have brown eyes are are believed to be heterozygous [Ww] because Dom. White can produce non white foals. The homozygous form [WW] is thought to possibly be unviable and reabsorb by the mare very early in the gestation period meaning none have been born. They don't seem to have any problems as foals and grow up and breed healthily.
Interesting right??

This is no surviving (true) lethal white.
I also did not said that to offend, I'm sorry that you took it that way!

Same thing I just said, just more organized, proper terms, and better overall

I have no idea what to say, I am not very educated when it comes to horse genetics. I found everything you guys said very interesting, and I learned a multitude of new things myself. I thank you all for discussing it, I was actually quite confused about the all-white foal before I read this discussion!
This tolter is, honestly, one of the most gorgeous tolters I've laid eyes on. I love their simplicity, and it makes me even more elated to know that they survived. I love them dearly. <3 Thank you so much, Khaos!
They will be a filly, and I will post again when I figure out the name. c:
Again, thank you so, so much. Also, flurry, of course you may have a slot. ^^
