Their appearance is said to be a good omen. In art they are usually depicted as beautiful, fringed creatures with scales and one or two antlers. Reasoning: When Dynasty was a colt, he was constantly sick and weakly. He was born with a sensitivity to light, borderline an allergic reaction to it, and thus mostly stayed under tree cover or in caves, somewhere he couldn't play with all the other foals outside under the sun. So, he learned how to entertain himself and to make the long, dark days more bearable. He used to pretend he was Dracula, not just any old vampire, but Dracula himself. The role was iconic, and spoke to Dynasty in a way even he had to puzzle over. While some may see Dracula as a pure, villainous monster -of the fictional nature of course- Dynasty was always able to see deeper than the skin-deep layers. And Dynasty could relate to the monstrosity that was Dracula like he couldn't relate to other foals. Pretending to be Dracula gave him a kind of purpose and strength he needed to endure the loneliness.

He's more of a creature in the night, so when he gets a mare alone, Stark makes her feel as though she needs his protection. With a little play, his nibbling sometimes becomes biting, drawing blood. To his advantage, Stack apologizes, and doing so licks the wound.

Reasoning: "“The serket's poison is strong.” - and so am I." Gwaine sees himself as a Serket though.. he does not only sees himself as one he feels like a Serket. When he is running through the wide open landscape he feels himself growing eight legs and his tail seems to change form. He starts feeling more powerful than he ever felt before and a fire starts to grow inside him. With this feeling of power and warmth Gwaine feels unbelievable strong and bulletproof. But how come that Gwaine sees himself as a scorpion-like creature? Although Gwaine is probably the bravest equid you will ever meet he also is easy to impress. He heard several stories from traveling equids from a land far away from scorpions. He himself never really saw one but he is impressed of what he heard about them - they use everything they have to fight and they would fight till death. Just like Gwaine. The mystic creature of a Serket use their poison to fight just like Gwaine uses his hooves to do so. And like a Serket Gwaine would fight till death to save his family or friends if they are in danger. What he sees in Serkets is not the strength of their poison but the grace they fight with - that is what Gwaine is truly aiming for. And to see a Serket related scorpion himself one day.
Not to mention that his coat colors go perfectly along with the colors of a Serket (and his quip even look like several stings and claws). Gwaine is really proud of how he kind of look alike with a Serket.
