Survivor, is often around fighting for the "little guy" in the herd, although he prefers there to be no violence, he will take to it if it is the last resort. He can often be seen wondering the pastures at night trying to keep the peace but sometimes it just doesn't work out. Survivor is however, a great friend to have because he will put others before himself anyday, it's just how he was raised, a blue collared tolter.

Survivor, has worked his whole life to get to the big leagues of jumping, he was often out with his rider, David, day in and day out practicing the same jump sequence over and over again until it was perfected. He slept little, ate lots, and trained hard, all so that one day he could make it to the Olympics with David.
Survivor and David were the last to jump during the qualifying rounds and their nerves were showing, David was tense and Survivor was shaking from the wait, they had watched stars in the arena and finally it was their turn, the unknown horse and rider. David took Survivor for a trot around the course three times, before they had bothed calmed, and steeled their nerves, he signaled to the announcer and judges that they were ready, and off they went, horse and rider as one. Survivor cleared the jumps with ease sailing over them majestically, and landing with no audible sound. And in what felt like seconds the course was done, Survivor whinnied happily as he trotted off, and then waited nervously with David still atop him as they announced who would be moving on, one by slow one. Then suddenly as if it a dream the annoucer called "Blue Collar Way and David" neither knew what to do but they wandered into the ring again to a thundering applause. They had made it to the Olympics and had the fastest time. Now that's impressive.
~The Olympics~
After making it to the final day of jumping and only having 1 fault in the whole competition, both David and Survivor were feeling the pressure to pull off another flawless jump set, and it was noticable as he worked Survivor into a trot, they were the first to compete this round and had only marked the course twice before deciding to start, but off they went. Again they sailed over jumps with ease landing perfectly, until the triple, this was always the hardest for Survivor, and he was doing well until the very last one, as he landed his hoof knocked on the top pole, which ended up falling and bringing the other two down with it. Although they had quite the ride, the faults added a lot of time which they would not be able to get back. They walked back into the waiting area David cooing to Survivor that it was okay, and it wasn't his fault, but Survivor knew it was. As they waited and their nerves grew both David and Survivor had a hard time not blaming anything and anyone. This went on for quite a while until a man came to say that they were going to announce the placings. They all stood their in a line, smiling for the camera's as they announced third and then second, and finally it was time for first. It was down to David and Survivor and another pair, they looked at each other horse and rider and nodded accepting which ever place they had. Then the announcer said "And the Gold Medal winner is ... Blue Collar Way and David of team Canada." The crowd again erupted in cheers and both Survivor and David gasped in surprise, as they walked to the winners circle and were awarded their medals and flowers. That's the day that all of David and Survivor's work truly payed off.

I was debating wether to escape. The fence of
My field glinted in the Moon light. I looked at it longingly. 'You should just jump it' I thought 'no your owner will miss you' another part of my conscience had Kicked in. I looked back to the house. 'Just for a few hours, I'll be gone for' Then I'm off at a gallop and clear the fence with room to spare. I look back at the house. My owner is stood on the doorway. I gallop on. I felt really bad. I come to a Forest with a little stream I start to drink. I must've been there for 10 minutes when I heard galloping hooves. I stood for a moment. It was my owner on another horse. 'Should I surrender or should I carry On?' I question my motives. The rope lassos me.
"Foals should not be clearing fences" my Owner says sternly. I neigh I protest. They glare at me. I stamped my hoof.
"And they certainly should not be escaping" they add. I snort and pull a face.
"You're just a walking contradiction" they Mutter. My owner leads me back. I was put away safely in my stables and from that day forth she called me 'walking Contradiction'. The name has sort of stuck now.
