General Info

Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.

Reason: Capsanthin is a natural pigment in capsicum and gives other food their typical looks. It has a dark red colour and it isn't water and or fat soluble. It is also sensitive to heat and light.
Why i've chosen that name: Capsanthin is also very sensitive to heat and likes to bath in a river or sea to cool down. His colour doesn't disappear just like the pigment. When he gets out and his body is covered with lots of little waterdrops the females become also a typical red blushing in their faces.
Capsanthin also likes night more than the day. He loves looking at the stars or finding fireflies in the gras. Caves he finds are also different at night than at day... life awake in there hidden seas glowing in the light of the moon.

Ethylene is a hormone in plants which stimulates the ripening of the fruit and the dropping of the leaves. Therefore, it symbolizes that this Chrysaora Basilisk is mature and independent.
Ethyl is also an Old English name meaning "noble", which ties in with the concept of her being mature.

Personality:
As mentioned above, Ethyl is very independent. She looks down upon those her age or older who are "immature", viewing any sort of fooling around as failing to do one's duty, whatever that may be. Due to her strict and uptight nature, Ethyl has a hard time in both making and keeping friends, often being referred to as a "stick in the mud." However, this rigid work ethic means that working with Ethyl, if you can stand to be around her long enough, will earn you praise for being on task and getting work done in a timely manner.
Ethyl is definitely a mare who would be considered a workaholic and has a tendency to run herself ragged, and often needs to be reminded to take a break. In her spare time, if she isn't doing extra work, Ethyl can be found seeking knowledge about anything and everything.

Kiwano is also quite pretty. (And flirtatious XD) Anyone can call her Kiwi though.

Reason: Super awesome name, for a super awesome chrysaora. It fits the requirement by being a fruit (botantically speaking). Mace is the aril of the nutmeg seed & the dried "lacy" covering is reminiscent of this guy's design.
Personality: Mace is one of those stoic, strong & silent types, full of mystery & a hint of that dark, bad boy kinda vibe. Nobody really knows him well, as he tends to push others away, forever retreating into the shadows. Mace suffers from delirium. As it fluctuates, the stallion can become very bright & boisterous, bursting with enthusiasm & energy or dull & sedentary. His sleep is most always disturbed &, though Mace won't admit it, he lives in fearful anticipation of the next hallucination or delusions. All he wants is a friend.
