What's his favorite holiday and why? Lockwoods favorite holiday has always been the winter holiday. It may be cold and windy at times but Lockwood has not only grown used to it but he finds the absence of leafs, insects and sunshine somehow calming. Some people assume that his strange habit of loving the wintertime is a side-effect of the fact that Lockwood has never really been an outdoor-horse. Not that he doesn't enjoy a long ride into the fields, but theres nothing bad about a nice big stall either.. However that is not the reason why Lockwood enjoys winter holiday so much, the actual reason is a fairly simple. Since he was a foal Lockwood has been allergic to some kinds of Pollen and even though it is not an alarmingly severe allergy, he still suffers from irritable airways when certain plants bloom. That in mind, it seems only natural that Lockwood prefers to relax and enjoy some free time with his rider when all of these plants have been shut down by mother nature and -he is a very clean stallion- mud, dirt and such are either frozen or neatly covered in snow.

what's his favorite holiday and why: National Creamsicle Day (August 14th) - Even with a dark a coat as Helio's has, this boy has always loved the summer months. The heat gives him every excuse to splash around in the water trough, refuse to work in favor of napping in the shade of the big tree in the pasture, or steal frozen treats from the riders at Manteca Creek. His favorite things to take are orange creamsicles. The tangy orange shell and the sweet vanilla ice cream within are to die for in his opinion. And Manteca Creek, not being satisfied with it's current title as being a little bit off, has to take it a step further by celebrating tiny, obscure holidays like it's Christmas. The staff go out and buy boxes and boxes of creamsicles to distribute to riders and guests throughout the day. Naturally, Helios is right there on the scene to steal as many as he can from anyone who isn't paying attention.

What's his favorite holiday and why?
The Fourth of July. It starts in the morning, when Hero wakes up he gets the pampering of a lifetime. When he gets to the parade, everybody cheering and all the bright decorations give Hero the energy to put on his best performance. Afterwards, he gets a long petting session from swarms of children, and goes on a nice long trail ride with his owner. Finally, he watches the fireworks from his pasture with his owner and her friends since that's where the best view is.
