What came first? The chicken or the egg?: If you're talking about an egg, plain and simple, eggs came long before chickens, as there have been egg laying animals around for much longer. The Protein essential for making a chicken egg shells, OV-17, is only found in chicken ovaries. So, it can't have been the egg that came first, right? But, it all relies on the definition of a chicken egg. Is a chicken egg an egg that is layed by a chicken, or an egg that contains a chicken?
During reproduction, two organisms pass along their genetic information in the form of dna. But the replication of this dna is never 100% accurate, and often produces minor changes for the new organism, hence, evolution. These tiny inluences in the DNA, overtime, creates new species. So, a creature that is very similar to a chicken [a chicken in the early stages of evolution] would create an egg with another not-so-chicken, and one tiny influence, created a modern day chicken, and the strain of domestic breeding changed the the chickens image to what comes to mind now when someone says the word 'chicken'.
So, the egg came first, but if you classify a chicken egg as something that is wholly made by a chicken, egg shell and organism, the chicken came first.
so, what is a chicken egg? An egg made by a chicken? Or an egg with a chicken inside of it? It's all up to you.

If you think I am wrong because you think evolution is true and thus the egg (or neither) came first, how then, did random chance create something that is orderly? When you pour water you expect it to go where you are pouring, but if random chance created everything, don't you think random chance would decide where the water went and it might, say, pour centimeters, inches, or even feet away from where you are pouring? Also, there is no evidence of evolution, no one has ever witnessed it and there are no fossils of inbetween stages of animals. Yes, scientists have witnessed mutations, but they are always losses of information and are harmful to whatever creature it was that mutated, so how exactly-if somehow the mutated creatures managed to survive-would several losses of information over time create better creatures? I don't mean to be rude or snippy or to attack anybody or anything of the like, so if it seems like any of that, I am sorry, I really only mean say why I believe evolution to be untrue. and thus why I believe the chicken came first. I realized that it's not exactly why I believe the chicken came first, but that it's because I'm a Christian that I believe the chicken came first. So technically that stuff is unrelated to the question but I'd still like to keep it in here. I just want to clarify so I don't say something I don't mean to say. I also beleive evolution is wrong because I'm a Christian, but I wanted to provide some of the flaws I see in evolution so people who aren't Christian might not just disregard me because from their stand-point I have no logical reasoning to not beleive in evolution.

Not snappy at all but I can see where people have attacked you on your beliefs as well. I personally believe in evolution (I am a Deist) but I that doesn't mean that I have to be ignorant to other people's views.
