Description of his wild range as a colt: Imagine a place, along the mountains of Nevada in desert land. The air is thinner up here. Houses are scattered, with wide intervals between them. You can, for the most part, see nothing for miles. The setting is arid and flat. It's vegetation consists of dry-looking, brittle bushes and Joshua Trees. The background is the towering, rocky outcrop of Mt. Charleston. Here, wild mustang horses roam. While their numbers are dwindling due to the occasional round ups, scattered herds run free. Once upon a time, Charleston was one of these horses. He was a free spirit, growing up in his early years as a firebrand stallion. The hot, dry land was home to him. He found comfort, shielded by the mountain's shadow and the plants around him. There he was free.

Description of his wild range as a colt: Ark grew up on mostly empty plateaus with little to eat (besides bushes) and no shelter from the elements. Grass rarely grew except for right after the spring rains and it was quickly eaten by his herd. Part of his range flanked a major highway so he had occasional exposure to vehicles and gradually grew less afraid of them, but it was the only thing that seperated his herd from a larger herd who claimed lands on the other side. Speaking of herds his herd was made up of the lead stallion, his mother, a yearling half sister and an older mare that was loyal to the stallion.

Description of his wild range as a colt:
Bornn's native home is the treacherous slopes of the Canadian rockies. It varies from steep rocky slopes to thick forestry, to shrubby vast meadows. In the summer months the grass was ragged and dry; Its nutrition value was poor and he'd have to cram his stomach full with this corse tasteless vegetation just to keep his body going. But winter was the hardest. thick blankets of snow flattened all available food so he'd have to paw through 2 feet of snow just for a measly mouthful. His herd would move lower down on the mountain to find better grazing but faced thetas from both wolves and humans. he was late into his 3rd year when blizzards made even the forestry to cold. his herd moved even closer to man and consequently got tangled up in a round up.
