An adventure you had with this horse: one day, shadow got out of her pasture when her previous owner was opening the gate. i was just a stablehand, but i saw her loose and followed her into the forest near the stables. she didn't run, she just trotted along enjoying her moments of freedom as if she knew she would be caught eventually. after awhile we came to a clearing and she stopped to graze at the overgrown grass. i silently walked up to her and managed to climb on. i aksed her to canter and we ran together as one. i circled her back toward the stable, and a few years later when her owner put her up for sale, i bought her. she's now my favorite riding tolter.

An adventure you had with this horse:
We Have traveled to different states to explore and ride different trails that have been told to be haunted, for halloween we dressed up as the headless horseman and his skeleton horse and walked around handing out candy to children.

Personality: North is a mellow stallion. He is focused and quiet, and tends to take things seriously. Despite his overall serious and relatively calm demeanor, North is a sweet and friendly guy. North is also a patient stallion. He doesn't get mad very easily, but sometimes he will snap. Depending on what the cause is. All in all, North is a friendly and respectful Tolter.
An adventure you had with this horse: North and I once rode down to a beach. It was North's first time seeing the ocean. At first, he was a bit nervous, jumping away, bucking, and rearing whenever a large wave came along. Small waves he just glared at, as if trying to intimidate them. After finally throwing me off, North sniffed the ground. A large wave formed and swept right into North. North was taken by surprise and was knocked over, for he had been knee-deep in the water. Luckily, the wave didn't completely submerge North. But now the stallion was alert and quickly picked himself back up; faster than any horse I've ever seen that fell! North finally began to splash and frolic around in the water, carefully edging closer to shore if he noticed large waves. He does happen to love the beach... He just stays clear out of the way of large waves.

Personality: Reserved • Snappy • Obedient • Mellow • Unsympathetic
Stardusted is very reserved, and prefers to slip into shadows and graze, rather than take the spotlight. She doesn't talk much, and if a horse walks up to her, she'll usually turn around and pretend they're a fly; swatting them with her tail. She is very snappy, and if a horse insists on pestering her, she'll snap a sharp comment towards them. If they continue, she'll snap her pearly white teeth at them, usually leaving a mark. She is obedient to her rider, and Stardusted loves them, to no extent. They both have had amazing rides and adventures together. Stardusted if she is left to herself is very mellow. She is calm and reserved as long as everyone keeps a good distance and is fine with someone whinnying a hello as they pass her. She's very unsympathetic, and when another horse is injured, by herself, or not, she'll just shrug it off, swat them with her tail, give them a quick snap about they're mistake, and to stop whining, and walk away with an annoyed expression.
An adventure you had with this horse:
My favorite ride with Stardusted, was when we went into a large, airy dark pine-tree forest; Stardusted's favorite climate. She and I were just beginning to canter deeper into the forest, when an owl swooped down. Stardust is not easily spooked, but this was one of the times where it happened. I halted her immediately, not giving her any time to rear, and possibly crush me. Her ears pinned back, and I glared piercingly up at the owl, who shot a taunting look back, from the safety of the dark, tall, coniferous trees. I clicked my tongue, which Stardusted usually listened to when I was calming her, sending her ears immediately rising back up. I took her reins off, over her head, and she shook out her well-brushed mane. I rubbed her velvety muzzle, and she bobbed her head. She wasn't one for sympathy.

Personality: Lucifer is probably the sweetest stallion you have ever met. He likes to hang around the stables helping the workers by nudging the hay into piles around the barn. He is often seen protecting other horses from bullies and mean riders and isn't scared to stand up to man or beast. He is the ranches Guardian Angel.
An adventure you had with this horse: One day while out on a trail ride with a few friends, Lucifer and I in the lead, I noticed that he was acting strange and rather skittish, which he usually is not. As I scanned the forest around us I saw the flash of a golden pelt, I know that Luci saw it too because he started to warn the others, I told my friends what to do, Luci and I were going to draw the cougar away from the rest of them as they galloped back to the safety of the ranch. I told them we would meet them back at the barn in about an hour, and so we said farewell and I urged Lucifer into a gallop and we were off. I cougar let out a yowl behind us as I heard the others go the opposite direction and the thunder in the underbrush as the animals around us ran for safety. As we galloped Luci and I put more and more distance between us and the cougar, however we were also putting more and more distance between us and home, so I urged him up a steep path, it was risky but it was our only way back home. As we ascended I heard the yowl of the cougar again however much closer than I thought it could be, I looked behind me to find that the cougar was actually much closer to us, about 4 meters away. As we ascended as quick as we could the cougar gained more on us until he was with in striking distance, as I watched his legs tense for the jump with fear, I felt Lucifer stop and turn back around so that all of a sudden he was looking the cougar in the eyes. They stood there staring, Luci and the cougar breathing heavy, then without any warning Lucifer charged at the cougar, as he bore down on him the cougar seemingly frozen with confusion until at the last second it jumped out of the way. Luci and I then galloped our way home where we were safe and sound.
