Age: 4 years
Height: 16h
Breed: Thoroughbred

Breeding fee:2000c
Name inspiration:Pictures and an article, I know its a lot to ask but please read it all! I chose this horse specifically for one simple reason. It hits me at an emotional level. This summer I worked with a great horse, call name Wilbur. He was an OTTB and was a grandson of Seattle Slew. His barn name was Amazing Slew. He was the most perfect horse and I just felt this connection with him. He would follow me around the paddock and wait for treats, if I had none to give he would head-butt my hand until I scratched underneath his eyes. (that was his favorite spot to be scratched). Well about a month after I met him I took one day off from going to the barn to go to the Renaissance Faire. My grandfather and I were going back as returning actors for the day. When I got home I got a call from the barn owner and owner of Wilbur. The night before he had gotten horrible colic. He died that morning. It wasn't a huge surprise for the women I was working with. He was a frequent colic-er, he had started cribbing when he was at the track. It devastated me, and the next day when I came to say goodbye before they buried him I found out something even worse, had he not passed, that was the day they were going to tell me (the owner and the barn owner) that as long as I came down once a week Wilbur would be mine and they would pay all the costs. So, sorry for the long story, that is why I chose this horse, and this name.

Name inspiration: The name Evasive Manoeuvre comes from the beautiful stallion from Striker Park Performance Horses. The dominant white, Frame overo black tobiano stallion goes by the name of Elusive Look. A synonym for Elusive is Evasive and hense forth I used that word to create a beautiful, mysterious name. With her call name being Eva. You can find more information and images of this stunning Australian Stallion through the following link; Click

I came across White Beauty in this article. It is the most detailed online source about the mare which I have discovered.
Here is an image of White Beauty. Please forgive the low quality, it was taken in the sixties after all!
'White Beauty' was a thoroughbred mare with an extraordinary quality. However, unlike most historical thoroughbreds, her unusual feature wasn't a spectacular sporting career- she only won two races out of sixteen. White Beauty's rarity came in the form of her white coat and the genetics behind it. She was the first thoroughbred to be officially registered as 'White' by the Jockeys' Club. White Beauty was born in 1963. Despite her lack of much success on the racetrack, White Beauty was an exceptional brood mare and passed her rare colour on to some of her foals, becoming the foundation mare of a line of white thoroughbreds. Unsurprisingly, she is the ancestor of many modern-day white thoroughbreds.
Considering that this mare is the first white thoroughbred to be registered at RVC, I think that she certainly lives up to her namesake.

Hallo der darlings c:

While I will not be trying out for this little beauty, I would like to request a breeding from her for my stallion BH The Devil's Apprentice. He is RVEC's only quarter horse stallion, as well as RVEC's very first horse. So anywho, I've been looking for a Thoroughbred mare to breed with him in order to produce an Appendix Quarter, and I think this here little angel would be the perfect mare. I'd be willing to pay a reasonably high broodmare fee, or you could get a free breeding from any of my horses that you like. The choice is yours!

Tanks, darlings

herro der mes amis, i am believe. proud canadian, ottb loving, colt breaking, nfr dreaming. pictured on the left is my racetrack reject, landofmakebelieve, aka molly, moo, shmoo, whatever name comes to mind x] molly is a 10 year old canadian bred thoroughbred mare, and standing at about 16.2hh, we look a little wonky when we chase cans, but la dee da that's alright. molly and i tried several disciplines. i tried desperately to get her to catch on to dressage, but unfortunately, she still has the race bred mind and is all go. however, together we found a discipline which we could both enjoy; western gaming. this summer we started travelling to barrel races locally. our current record on a standard size pattern is 17.314 and we are improving with every run. and to all the low budget barrel racers out there such as myself, a word of advise; chin up darling. you may not have a million dollar mount under your butt, but you and your crossbred, rejected, hard headed, rescue baby can do it. you know why? cause those girls sitting in their custom circle y's, upon shiny, top of the line mounts are full of themselves. they think there's no way they can lose. they get cocky. stay humble, believe in yourself, in your horse, and most importantly ride your little heart out.

Name inspiration:from Valkyrie Skuld, a champion thoroughbred steeplechaser foaled in 2000. this mare began as a dirt racer, but switched to cross-country after being entered in a three-day event and finding her especially suited to cross-country. due to her being a thoroughbred, more built for speed, she was entered finally in steeple-chasing, and has made her way to champion Grade 1 rankings since then.
