First and foremost, I admit to having no great love of England. I credit them for their outstanding horse breeds, but the country itself is not high on my list of things which I like. Yet the allure of the Shire's beauty seemed to have worked a certain type of inspiration on me. Then again, maybe it's a testament to my lack of common sense that I haven't seen this before. I possess a great love of English literature.
As I write this, I gaze at my overflowing bookshelf with new eyes. For the first time, the fact that so many of the authors are English, or the novels are set in England, is evident. I couldn't possibly name every one, but it is sufficient to say that, each time I assume that I have read every title of English origins on the bookshelf, a new one catches my eye. There are simply too many to count, and that is counting without attempting to comprehend the impact which many of these books have made on literature as a whole.
The name is not derived from an English author or book; there are simply too many for me to chose from! Albion is an ancient term for Britain (it sounded nicer than England) and Scribe is rather self-explanatory. Ultimately, I'd like to thank you for providing me with such an opportunity; to look at old favourites with new eyes and thank God for the miracle that is English literature.
