Show name: This lovely boy is known as Cookies and Cream in many competition circuits.
Name: He goes by Choco Chip or CC around the barn.
Gender: A stallion of course!
Companion: CC is best friends with a trio of wolf / husky hybrids named Sasha, Jasper and Max, left to right in the image below.
Although they are an unlikely group of friends, Sasha, Jasper and Max are all adopted siblings. They were born the same week as CC, and the four grew up together. CC's mother died shortly after he was born, and the three dogs never knew their mother, who was a wolf. They were born on the barn's property and abandoned. The barn owner adopted them as soon as she found them and paired the animals together. The four animals were raised by an older mare, and she took on the role of their main maternal figure. The three puppies bonded with CC and, although many equines are afraid of dogs, CC immediately loved the three dogs. They quickly became best friends, and the canines always sleep in his stall, curled at CC's massive hooves. The four are usually found playing together in CC's paddock, chasing one another and frolicking from fence to fence. When CC is being ridden or is too tired to play, the trio of canines are used to herd the few sheep found at the barn.

Companion: Grover's most treasured comrade is a lean, agile tabby tom called Owl. This tom is white with grey patches of tabby markings and fierce, yellow eyes. Grover has known Owl since they were both mere babes. Owl will sometimes clamber up onto the stallion's back and ride about leisurely, looking smug the whole time. Grover and Owl are very close, the stallion often protecting the cat fiercely and not letting a scrap of harm come to him. The cat and equine are very close, and would do nearly anything for each other.
When Owl was born, Grover was a mere foal who was but a few hours old. The cat was a tiny runt and rumored to die, but Grover was certain the cat would not. Sure enough, the cat thrived, and the two became very close.
