The darkness
It will overtake the light
And those who thrive in the sun
Will perish
Unless they can take flight
And they must run
Leave behind those who they cherish
Family left alone to die
With no warmth or home to call their own
Many years pass
And the abandoned family
All that is left
Is skin and bone
Have a JOYOUS day!Almond / Craig

poem:
Raven wrote:The feathers of a crow,
are they so different from that of a ravens?
They both be black,
silky, dark, and smooth.
The birds however I know are far different,
they both want to be the same
exactly the same
but the world knows exactly they are not.
-
But are we so different from the two?
All people do is try to fit in
be the same
exactly the same
so no one will know it is them.
They don't want to be different,
they want to fit in,
but under that cover
I know it is you.
Come out of hiding, for all that you really need-
is to be you.

name: marionette, nicknamed this harshly after a puppet, as she technically is one. to demonstrate and enforce her freedom that she wishes to bring forward, she does not respond to this name, only mar.
gender: vocigirl, "a term to describe when one’s female gender is weak-feeling and hollow rather than a specific, certain gender". (taken from the pridearchive tumblr!) she prefers she/her pronouns.
sex: biologically female
age: approximately nine years old, but acts beyond her age
location: sanctuary
voice: she has a strange accent; her voice is gentle, almost the slightest bit raspy. she's been accused as a form of a heretic because no others with the accent have ever been found. she claims to be from the dark parts of the planet none from sanctuary have explored in depth.
current position: as she has been taken into sanctuary government and the council of higher-up purgos who run things, she is currently in confinement, and is taken out on walks once a day, almost like a small pup; they want to hide her and keep their frightened visitor a secret, but do not want to deprive her from the outdoors and from socialization. she is used especially for dangerous situations, such as bargaining and compromising with rogues and raiders who dash into the city and are taken into questioning or arrest. she is, pretty much, the higher-ups' pawn, and she does as told in fear she will be sent back into the uncivilized, barren lands that she once dwelled. she had a name before being taken in, but her name is no longer: they once called her subject 205 but now she is called marionette by many. however, as she is breaking away and figuring a way to sneak out and live in hiding, she does not prefer this name.
personality: marionette is a silent soul whose childhood passed too quickly. she's not necessarily introverted or bashful, but she is a soft-spoken purgonine who prefers the confinement and comfort of her own mind. she thinks, and does not speak, most things, but all of her actions are planned inside an intelligent mind before she acts upon them. she is unfamiliar with friendship and any aspects of love, considering she does not remember living these feelings; her days are composed of herself and her own thoughts, her own mind. she is her only friend: this is how she likes to think. when outdoors on the walks, she takes a keen interest in observing, staring around her surroundings through her dark bangs. she's used to being ridiculed that she cannot hardly proceed through a basic conversation, which she feels is a good excuse for not wanting to speak and be made fun of for the accent in itself. her life is very heavily centered around the life and composure she's taken in sanctuary, and feels like a caged bird; if life outside of purgo civilization wasn't so dangerous, she would want to escape, but she knows she will do so when she is grown; she will find home once more, and the memories left behind.
poem: 'time to cut the strings'
tugging
tugging
there's a tugging
in her paws
she feels it softly at first, fleetingly so
then a yank. she moves
against her will
there is chaos
in the actions
actions by the puppeteers
marionette
they chime
won't you play a game with us?
she opens her eyes
eyes
that shine brighter than a blood red moon
no, she screams, and it's a mantra
time to cut the strings
time to cut the strings
time
there is no
tugging
Hehe congrats, Pep! I really can’t help myself, I love creepy doll/puppet stuff like this
