Days have passed since that one day when Kenji and Shiroi-hane were released from their imprisonment in the two stones, one black, one white. Days since the stones started glowing monochrome colours. Days since the powers of lightning and fire were suddenly released upon the world. Days since Shiroi-hane and Kenji were released from their seemingly eternal prisons; and both strongly felt that the world needed to suffer for what it had done to them. They let loose their wrath upon the world.
As Shiroi-hane, the white feathered dragon, was released from the white stone representing unrelentless fire, giant plumes of fire erupted from beneath the surface of the world. Suddenly, the entirety of everything was engulfed in flames. Everything that everyone had ever known was slowly burning away, leaving only piles of black ashes behind. No matter how much water was poured on the flickering flames, it was hopeless. The flames were impossible to stop, and they kept spreading. Above all this horrific chaos, Shiroi-hane could be seen, slowly flapping her wings, completely indifferent to the pain and loss she was causing. With a strong beat of her feathered wings, and a simple command, the white dragon plumerian could set even hardened rock on fire.
As Kenji, the black scaled dragon, was released from the black stone representing sudden lightning, giant black clouds started to swirl in the sky, interrupted by the sudden flash of lightning and boom of thunder time and again. Due to the unnatural amount of lightning, everyone was forced to run for shelter from the storm. Those who didn't make it... those who never got into shelter in time... or those who just plain refused to leave their houses... were never seen again. With a single flap of his small but powerful wings, the black dragon plumerian could summon a large storm, powerfel enough to weary even the most seasoned traveller of the lands.
That's all over now. But sometimes, Shiroi-hane accidentally burns a stack of hay. Sometimes, Kenji accidentally makes a bolt of lightning strike just a little too often. But they know what they did wrong.
And they regret it.
