History;;
Zulu was born to his mother and father at a small barn in the USA. Trained to be a driving horse, this temperamental stallion was found to be too variable, in the sense that he would be fine one moment, and psycho the next. However, his owners decided they'd keep him as a stud, for they did not want to part with him. While he was living at his first home, he fell in love with a beautiful mare that his owners called 'Delight.' Delight was the one and only mare he ever truly loved, and perhaps there shall never be another. Sadly, when Zulu was four, Delight was sold to another home, leaving him heart-broken and jaded about love. To this day, he would never risk his heart in another relationship, preferring to use his obnoxious personality to keep others away from him, and let no one see he was hurting inside. His fourth year of life seemed to be a tragic one, since it was soon after Delight's resale that his owners passed from his life. The relatives who inherited the land and horses did not know, nor want to learn, how to care for them, so he was sold to an auction centre. Here, despite his flashy coat, his mixed breed and firey personality kept him away from finding a new home. It was not until he was to be sold for meat that the young woman Quetzal purchased him, along with seven other horses. Of the seven, she trained, fed, and rehomed, although she kept Zulu for use as a driving horse. She also hopes that he and the mare Magnum will learn to get along. Although Zulu now has a permanent home, he still has a long way to go in terms of respect and learning to love once again.

Personality

Some people call her naughty, but the word for her is smart.
She knows exactly what is going on, and exactly how to
outsmart almost any human.
Because of this, only experienced people can handle her.
She is not dangerouse, but has a knack for trying to snach
grass when you are not looking. She is a little TOO good at it!
She is a perfect riding horse though! When lead especially with
a child on her back every step she takes cautiously!
She is often brought to pony rides, and the kids
giggle at her extreme fluffy mane!
She is a total sweet tooth nerd, and is always sticking
her huge muzzle down your pocket to see if you are keeping
a precious carrot from her.
If you take your fingers and tickle right behind her lip,
she will life up her head, scrunch up her nose, and
'smile'. Not many horses can do that on command I
can guarantee! She has to go in a special paddock
with a horse proof lock, as she has broken out of other
ones over 3 times! Her stall also has a special extra lock
on it!
Oh, and one more thing. She is known for somehow ruining
whatever blanket she is wearing. It stopped last year when
we finally got a super expensive rip proof blanket, but my
goodness, we can't even count how many she ruined in her
younger years!

History:
She was born here in the USA, but bother her
parents where imported from France. As a foal
she was hard to handle and train. She also had
a very hard time being weaned. In the process,
she managed to get herself stuck half under the
fence of the paddock she was in. Her front legs
where tangled up and her head was stuck in
the fence, people where afraid
that she would not make it as she struggled trying
to get out. When she was two years old the owners
started bringing her to shows competing against
other mulassiers. She won competition after
competition, and became worth lots of money.
People offered to buy her, but the owners refused.
She continued showing till she was 5. By this time,
younger horses started winning. Having better
success with her younger half and full brothers and
sisters, they decided to open her up to anyone who
would offer to guy her with a good price! A young
woman came is one day looking for a sweet and
pretty horse to buy and bring back to a place called
Cottonwood Ranch to gift to an amazing friend.
After a long pause of thought, the owners lead her
over to Zimba. "She is perfect!"
explained to the owners. The nodded at eachother
and shook her hand. It was a deal.I think you know
how the story goes from here on!
And Zimba lived happily ever after...

Ok, long story on this one. This piece of art took about an hour and ten minutes. It was done 1/3 with a tablet and pen, and 2/3 with a mouse. You can read about this below, but my tablet suddenly stopped working. I had already done the lines, but I had to do the mane, the coloring in layers, and the coloring with the mouse. When you have not used a mouse in a year, its harder than anyone would think!! I will make a version of this piece of art with shading when I have the time if I win! *crosses fingers*
I decided also to give him blue eyes. He has sabino in his genes, and his eyes are covered with his mane in the original pic, so I just couldn't resist!!

This art piece is by Nancy, done with mouse, using Windows paint for lines and GIMP for coloring. It took her about 45 minutes. Wow! By the time Nancy is my age she will be better than me!

A special thanks to Nancy! I went up to my bedroom to watch youtube for an hour on my tablet, and she comes knocking on my door saying she has made more art! Done with the mouse, lines or Windows Paint, color on Gimp, time about 20 minutes. So cute!!
Another two pieces of full body art are coming for this gal. I have the lines done but need to add the coloring layer and coloring for one of them, and the other I still have to add the mane and feathering before the rest. I truly don't know if I will get them done in time unless Seren judges really late. I will be mostly working on writing when I get the chance.

Owning this gal would be just so much fun! I absolutely freaked when dark pmed me about the horses she was going to readopt, and have been waiting for this girl to come up for readoption since the front of the readopting event! She is like taylor swift, flawless in every way. I can guarantee you will be seeing some more art of this girl in the future, as her extreme puffy mane is SO fun to draw! If only we could make pen's fluffy manes, like official manes for CWHR? They are so cute!! Wait... she is a dun? I love duns so much! She's Sabino? MY WEAKNESS! For Venus... life is just to plain and boring
to be spooked by anything. Yes, Venus is
practically spook proof, and looking at her
personality, it's not only from experience
and time, but she just so cool with anything
that happens. Their is no other way of
explaining it. She is just so... cool. XD
Venus loves being with other horses, so I
am sure probably her favorite time in the
day is when she is turned out into the paddock
with the other horses. She is really playful, and
after leading all of horsey horsey friends around,
making the trot and canter behind her, she goes
on to sleep in the paddocsk corner, her head
drooped low. You can cluck, approach, or even
throw hay on her at this point. She is motionless...
that is until she decides to go and canter around
again. Its almost like she has energy bursts.
She has a tendancy to sleep during riding sessions.
Yes, sleep. Even when she is trotting around, her
head is almost hanging and she has her eyes half
closed. It takes a rider with lots of leg strength to
get her going. This makes her a horse only for
experienced riders... or an intermediate that
can take charge.

History:
Venus knows the schedule around here. She has
watched horses one by one coming to CWHR, as
she was an earlier horse of CWHR.
Venus was brought to CWHR with her owner, who
called her Crackers. She was raised and trained
here also. As a younger green horse, she was more
active than she is now. She was really a show off
and tail horse, otherwise, her schedule was pretty
much the same every day. Her owner gradually
started to miss days coming to the stable, and
before you know it, stopped showing up all
together. Some of the girls around the stable
saw that she did not get much exercise and
where sad, and with the inactive owner's permission,
they where given permission to handle, groom,
and occasionally hack Venus. After about a year of
this, the owner only showing up rarely, she offered
to sell Venus. The girls tried to jump at the
opportunity, but could not afford her. This is me,
trying to get the opportunity to own her. Yes, the
girls will still be able to call Venus theirs, and pretty
soon they will also be able to take care of a cute
Cinna X Venus foal!!

I made the lines of this one with my tablet, but suddenly, I could not move the cursor on gimp when I came to the coloring in part. I freaked because I still had so much art to do with these guys! (not to bribe or say that I am better, but I DID wake up at 5:30am today to get the art of these guys done, sadly to waste a whole hour of it trying to fix gimp unsuccessfully!)
I don't quite like the outcome, but I guess it is ok! I smudged the markings to make them look more realistic like if the horse had hair! It looks so much better this way! I really hope you like it!!

I have seriously been searching for a CWHR horse worthy to be Cinna's mate for sooo long! This horse is SO perfect with him! She is so beautiful, and I she will be super special to me as she will be the oldest drawn CWHR horse I will own! Yayy!

About The Art:
So, this was done with a tablet and pen w. pressure on the program of GIMP, and took about 1 hour and 20 monutes. I know, a fairly long time for just a headshot, but I wanted to make it really clean and smooth looking. The first time I did the head I made the nose way to short, which has always been a problem with me. This time, I lengthened the whole face, and I really like the outcome!

Why Do I Want Her?
Ok, so I have 2 QH mares and 4 QH stallions. This just does not seem right! Lol. I love doing the whole "mate" thing with my horses, and two of my stallions need a sweet and beautiful QH mare!!

Why I Want Her: you know when you come across that one special horse that takes your breath away, well this Would have to be that horse for me. I have seen this horse lineart many times thought my time with cwhr, and every time they have wowed and stunned me, when I got the chance to gain my own I was amazingly happy! I could finally own my own fluffy draft! And Rhodes colouring just blew this horse right out of the ball park for me. Sadly though I am away from my home at the moment on a holiday so can only come on cs on ly phone so I ask you to exude the crappy spelling and coding as it is all done on a mobile, same with the lack of art by me . I was devistated that I would be on holiday when tees horses came out. If I win sprite he will quickly become one of my favorite horses. Also I can tell you I will end up drawing her a lot as he is the perfect way for me to practice my feathering drawings! Queen of the Dunes

History:Dune was part of a travel group in the Gobi desert. She had grown used to the ever shifting sands, the lack of water, the beating sun and the chilly nights. Dune might as well have been on of the camels that she worked alongside. She wasn't supposed to work out here but the humans saw how strong she was, both in body and mind. No one was even sure where the young Shire had come from, she had shown up wandering about as a sickly little thing and the humans took her in. Well now it was time for her to repay their kindness. One day a camel became sick, they needed another pack animal for the tour though. As they tried to figure it out, their eyes fell upon the 4 year old shire mare. They decided to try her and lo and behold she did amazingly well. She ended up with Nyra after a huge sandstorm destroyed Dune's farm. As Nyra was vacationing there, she saw a majestic....horse! Up on a large sand dune, she clucked and the mare trotted right over. She was sandy, a little thirsty and hot but otherwise fine. Nyra was shocked by the hardy mare, she knew horses didn't just show up in the desert, she must belong to someone. At last she found the owners but they had no where to keep Dune now that the barn was gone. Nyra offered to buy her and the gladly accepted the kind woman's offer. Dune was flown back to Nyra's farm where she quickly adjusted. Nyra named her Queen of the Dunes, Dune, because of the way she had looked in their first meeting. How Dune had looked so majestic upon that large sand dune under the blazing sun.

Personality:Dune is very competitive, to her disadvantage sometimes as she doesn't know when to give it up. She is also very strong if mind and body, only rivalled by Golden Hawk at the farm. She has great stamina and actually loves working. She becomes bored and grumpy if she can't work and is left to do nothing. Dune though feisty loves attention and getting hugs, kisses ect.. From the people at the farm.

Discipline: Nyra uses Dune as a trail horse and cart horse now. Oftentimes Nyra will take Dune to the beach so she can frolic in the sand that she loves so much.

Hestia's Flame

History: I was born to a pair of pure Mulassier horses on a semi-fancy horse farm. I was the first Mulassier foal they had ever produced, as the humans were just getting into horses. I got a great start in life, I was handled almost daily and once I was weaned at 7 months, then humans started to train me a bit. At first I resisted them but I quickly understood what was being asked if me and started to obey. At 2 years the put this odd thing called a " saddle" on my back and another strange thing called a " bridal" on my head, plus here was this cold metal thing called a " bit " that went in my mouth! Needless to say I was not impressed but just as I had when I was younger, I came to understand and listen to the humans even with these new things.
Personality: Hestia has a sort of divine nature about her. The way she struts out into the field, the way her mane whooshes so gorgeously against her neck and the gleam in her diamond blue eyes. There is just something about her that Nyra can't quite understand. Hestia is exceedingly smart and catches onto to things in a way that is almost unnatural for a horse. She knows instantly of her rider is nervous, angry ect... And always acts accordingly to their actions and who the person happens to be. An older rider who is being all cocky and arrogant, dumped on their rump with Hestia trotting of, a smug look on her face. A little kid? Well Hestia will walk with the gentlest stride, so slowly and carefully without even being asked.
