Silence. Most babies born crying and kicking, confused on where they are. My parents where of royal blood, the king and queen of our modern day city. That made me, the princess. I didn't get to choose, that was forbidden, and I never would.
So my future unfolded before me, I was brought up by my parents and their workers. My parents were very protective. They wanted to keep me safe from the outside world. I was homeschooled. It was horrible. I could never go out apart from in the gardens, and I had not one friend. I remember one day I was sitting writing my diary on the bench in the beautiful gardens when I heard a scruffle, I was about 16 and had never expected someone to get in to the gardens, it was high security. A cute little head popped out. I expected her to smile but instead she spat a quick little muffle at me. "Ugh, you're just a little spoilt Royal Princess girl!" I was slightly hurt and stepped back.
"What's your name? Why did you even say that?" I asked. She rolled her eyes, a cheeky grin.
"Why should I tell you?" She teased then paused. "I'm Renn. What about you?" I didnt want to tell her yet I did.
"Arabella Juniper Rose. Nice to meet you." I tried to use manners, would that work? She scoffed at me, mimicking my voice and acting all posh and delicate. Was that really me? My whole life was planned before me, yet she was a little child who could run around all day. I got up, without a word, and wandered back into the Castle, thinking deeply.
Renn, I didn't know at the time, practically changed my life. I thought about it, my life wasn't MY life, it was my parents and their executives. I remember walking directly up to my parents, and well, for the first time, stepping out of line. To them it was out of line, to me, it was freedom.
"I want to leave here." I said simply. My voice shook, I couldn't believe what I was doing, but it was right. My parents looked at me, horrified. "This is my life alright? Everything ahead of me should be up to me, but here, in this castle, it isn't! Everything is planned by YOU! Do I ever get to choose?" I couldn't stop. They argued back and at a few points, I just wanted to give up and crawl over to them for a hug. I kept going though, showing them that I could leave, find a flat, get a job, start again. It took a while, but after more good points from my side, my dad turned to my mum and he nodded slowly. I cried slightly, it was change. But a good change.
So I set off. Of course, I was lucky, I had money and food and clothes already, and managed to fit the stuff I needed to take into one bag. My parents acted strange when I was leaving. My mother balled, my dad sounded like he had a cold, all sniffy and blocked up. I assured them I'd be ok, I had money so I could buy anywhere really. Then I'd get a job and then it would progress from there. We agreed that no one would know of me going missing, so people could treat me normally. The 3 things my parents did make me do was being my tiara, necklace and cape. All royal things I had to keep to remember them with. Of course, I would remember them, for ever and ever, they were my parents.

I strode across the street and saw a nice block of flats, it looked fairly big and was a nice area. There was a "For sale" sign on the very last floor, the forth one. I climbed up, and as I got to the third floor, I bumped into two other Plumie's. They were holding hands and they smiled at me warmly. The girl had crazy hair and flashed her tongue and me, pink with silver stars on it. The guy she was with was tall and laid back. I stumbled upon my words, the outside world was so different. "I-Im Arabella." I smiled shyly. The girl winked at me.
"I'm Lyra Silvertongue! This is Max." She signalled to her boyfriend who said hi and waved a goofy wave.
"I was.. I was looking for a flat and I thought about taking a look through the one for sale, above." I explained. Lyra seemed friendly and said that if I had enough money, it would be great if I moved in. Max also pointed out they lived in the third floor flat, the one we were on. "Lyra and I were just going for a walk now!" Max spoke in a chilled tone.
"Cool.." I replied, I had never really used anything that wasn't full English. They wished me good luck and we parted ways. Eventually, I decided the flat was perfect and moved in. It wasn't too costly, compared to how much I had, but i remebered I had to earn money now.
After that it was fairly easy! I found a job in a café that payed pretty well, and I found out a new secret talent for me was preparing food and drinks. I'd always put mine in pretty little orders. It was awesome. One customer, Chihiro, really liked what I did and came in often. We're good friends, good friends.

I also helped the more misfortunate people in the city. Living in a castle, you never thought about them, but I did. When I saw one homeless Plumie once, I bought them lunch and gave them my wages for that week. I felt so ecstatic with energy and happiness. Do a good deed, feel good. And the reason behind Dream Catcher? It's really my personality. After that homeless person, some people found out about me, and the press nicknamed me that because I was told that I catch dreams and well, grant them. That homeless person got a house, their dream, and I have done many more. I'm not famous, oh no, but a small group of people liked me and saw what I did, and I'm grateful for that, I really am.
