A redwood tree peak is artemis' favorite place to go. The branches are large enough for her to find one to plop down on and just stare up at the clear, star-speckled sky and occasionally the flicker of dancing northern lights. She's tried sticking to the ground and observing from hills or caves, but the tree tops often block her view. So- Artemis changed it around and decided to go above the treetops rather than stick below.

Artemis is a very soft-spoken but loud-minded girl. What she lacks in vocal loudness she makes up in the very bold imagination and thoughts of hers. She studies anything having to do with astrology and keeps journal after journal of writings about stars and planets, and drawings of the night skies she sees up in the branches of that redwood tree. One would think she would love to stay near the ground, but no. Artemis prefers some of the largest trees in the world because she feels like one day she might be able to hop the clouds and touch those stars and dancing, twinkling lights across the skies. She has a hobby of trying to count every star in the sky and often doesn't sleep to do this, and she gets frustrated when the sunrise comes to interrupt her. Her current record is 2,321 stars that she has calculated in the sky before the sun came up.
