To adopt her (I see as female, but male or non-binary is all good too xD) tell me why she has that collar.

Why the Collar?:
In remembrance of his sister. She was always a happy plumie, always smiling
and always made his life the very best. Despite her bubbly personality, she
had a love for anything skeleton based. When she got sick and lost her voice
forever, Lucias had gotten her the collar in hopes she would get better. She
wore it up until the day before she died. That day, she'd given it back, kissed
his forehead and simply smiled. Then the next day, she was gone. Lucias will
never take off the collar, and will hurt anyone who tries to take it from him.
(Kinda sheltered around my cousin, who LOVES skulls, but I dont see her much anymore)

Why the Collar?: Her collar symbolizes that despite her cute features, she has nothing to fear, in fact, she is quite the daredevil, usually leaping ahead of others or being the first to test or try out something. The collar is there to remind her of that. The collar itself though, can cause quite the misunderstanding as just a cute accessory though, which she quickly solves by showing them her bold nature.

Why the Collar?: Merle bought the collar for herself when her grandfather passed away. She had been extremely close to him and the two shared many secrets with each other. Her grandfather had taught her that death was not something to fear. It happened to everyone, even the best of us. To Merle, he had been the ultimate friend and teacher, teaching her about life and death. When he passed away, Merle had felt lost without him. She came across the collar in a store and was instantly reminded of him. She now wears it not only to remember her grandfather, but to remember what he taught her: that death is nothing to fear. Why the Collar?: (200 word limit)
It's her security blanket. Without she just feels naked and exposed. With it she's confident, strong, and an optimist. She feels like anything is possible, a bit ironic considering that most people would assume that she's a pessimist or anything similar due to it having a skull. She believes that the skull wards off bad spirits, such as hatred and jealousy, and invites good ones, such as love and happiness.

Why the Collar?: (200 word limit)
Moxy has her collar because she constantly gets lost.
It seems like almost every day she is wandering into some sort of alleyway! And it doesn't help her dog-like personality either! She is always looking for a new toy, person, animal, or food! You would t believe how much of a problem it is with her, but luckily with her collar she can safely return home.

Why the Collar?: The collar is a simple comfort item with which she can calm herself. She found it when she was quite young, and pestered her parents about buying it throughout the whole time they spent in the store, and was finally allowed to buy it by a thoroughly annoyed father. As she recalls that part of her life as the best time of her childhood, the collar that resulted from it is kept and loved, and often pulled off and clung too in times of sadness or anger.

Why the Collar?: Her previous owner was a jerk. They tried to style her in their ways, forcing her into a mold. It was a life she never truly wanted. However, she constantly feels the regret of leaving her former home, because she truly loved them, although she never truly regrets running away at the first opportunity. This inner conflict is why she's kept the collar on, not because it represents who she currently is, but because of who she used to be.
There is a note inside the skull from her former owner she found the day she ran.
"I think you're turning out just fine, girl. Even though you were pretty soft and stupid when I met you, my brand of tough love has prepared you for real life, instead of that prissy place you were in before. I don't know where you would be without me.
Happy birthday, Twerp.
Remember me by this new collar, will ya?"
