Portugal, so her parents chose a name related to her
native language.

Dreadful nightmares have haunted Sonho ever since she
was a child. They varied from the death of her loved
ones to horrific hallucinations and monsters that were
created by her overactive imagination. No treatment,
no psychologists, neither growing up helped her get rid
of the sixth sense, a gift that she never wanted. How-
ever, she went through those horrors only when she
opened her eyes, so, being a scaredy-cat, Sonho kept
her eyes closed so she wouldn't have to face her fears.
She is satisfied with living by her other four senses and
carries around her amulet - a dream catcher. She belie-
ves it will keep the nightmares away even when her eyes
are closed.

Nix ~ Meaning Snow
why are her eyes closed?;
On her first Christmas day, Nix had crawled outside
and played out in the snow for a really long time. Her
family didn't notice her, and when they did Nix was
all blue, but didn't feel cold. Nix felt really warm.
They knew something was wrong- she was only one!
Her family called the doctor, and the doctor said no more monkeys jumping on the bed!
that Nix was special in snow. They changed her name from
Calor (meaning Heat) to Nix (meaning Snow). She stayed blue her
entire life. On the first day of school, everyone laughed at her,
saying how stupid and ugly and blue she looked. Nix didn't know
why everyone was that mean. She closed her eyes and ran away,
crying. The next morning, Nix came back. Everyone was still staring
at her, but not because she was blue- it was because she was closing
her eyes and not responding to anyone- just giving them smiles.
No one bothered her anymore, and Nix was happy ^^
