♕-"a dream"
It all started when I was young. My mother and father had finally earned enough money to get a ticket to go the US. "We'll have a better life." He says. My father, was the only one going. Once he earned enough money, he would come back for us. He died in a horrible storm. Months after his death, we were still trapped in Ireland. That month, an envelope filled with money got us tickets to America and then some. A few weeks after that, we were going to America. My mother sent me off to a boarding school, with all of the tuition paid by the money received via the mail, I always assumed it was asset collectors. However, when I was at home, I sewed goods to help pay for daily expenses, It was a menial job, but it gets the bills paid. Later, I started to advance further in my schooling, and learned basic medical skills like dressing a wound and stopping bleeding. After all, it was my dream to be a nurse. My mom started to cut back on money, and soon I would know why. When I was old enough, my mom sat me down. She said, "The reason I saved up so much money was so you could go to medical school. I love you so much, Ashling. You never stopped following your dreams." Later that year, it was off to college. We were always poor and I grew up in a rough area, but I will always thank my mom.

I was grabbing a couple pastries for my family when a short, small girl padded up to me and said, "I'll pay for that." I stood in shock, because no one had paid for my food, ever. I smiled, thanked them and said, "Want to sit down for coffee?" They happily obliged and we found a place to sit in the bakery. I told her about my stressful life as a nurse, and she told me about her dream of having a plume. We talked and talked for hours, and soon, a waitress told us it was almost time for the store to close. We said our goodbyes, and she gave me her cell number. I called my mother, said I would drop the pastries by, and head back to my apartment. I did just that, and was back to my apartment. I immediately fell asleep when I heard a ring. I answered the call, and sure enough, it was that girl from the bakery. She told me about how she believed I will make it far in life, about never giving up, sounds cliche, right? But it motivated me. I was no longer tired when I woke up in the morning. Everyday was a new opportunity. Everyday was no longer work, like it was in my childhood, but now happiness. I was truly happy. I thank you, my best friend Raindrop, the plume owner I met in the bakery. Also my family. I couldn't have made it this far without them.
