Winter is Luna's favorite season, and she just loves everything about it. The snow-covered ground, the holiday celebrations, and the chill in the air. But most of all, Luna loves that the winter chill brings with it a longer night. Luna is captivated by the night sky, and earned her name by spending countless hours gazing into the heavens. She has tried many times to count the stars, though she knows that they are infinite in number. This is her attempt to fathom the limitless expanse of space and what is contained within it.

Favorite thing about winter: The stillness. Oscar has always been one to appreciate the quiet moments in life. The lapses in conversation where time seems momentarily frozen. The second of anticipation, the collective breath, before a major event. The dulled sound experienced from being underwater.
And in winter, it seems, this sensation is magnified tenfold. Oscar loves the blanket of white draped over the land, stifling sound and color. He loves the quite reverence of the cold. He loves the frozen slumber of the ponds, rivers and streams on their way to the ocean, only to be woken again by spring's warm touch. He even loves the vicious snowstorms, driving everyone inside to settle down with a cup of coca. But most of all he loves the peace, and the feeling that nothing need ever happen again. (146 words)

No matter what i'm doing, as soon as the first flakes start
falling, I stop and taste them! I let some fall on my nose so
I can admire their beautifully and perfectly made designs.
Mother nature is amazing and most creatures are oblivious
to the intricate beauty the world has to offer.

Favorite thing about winter:
Perhaps I'm the only one to enjoy Peppermint Bark most out of the gifts Winter brings, but it brings me such joy and satisfaction to which none other could compare. Once I take a single bite, the dark chocolate and the mint seem to melt together into a swirl of happiness. The crunch of the peppermint that is sprinkled on top is almost like a whisper, or a beautiful bow to tie it all together. It's just like a very thoughtful and kind present received on Christmas, or a birthday. Of course, there is one more thing that is a very close second.
More similarly to others, I quite enjoy the snowfall. The snowflakes seem to dance through the air, whispering in the wind. A single snowflake might gently touch my nose as I prance through a field. I'll stop right then, and smile from ear to ear. Then, I'll continue to dance and run around, watching the snow light up the sky. The wind will hum in my ears, seemingly to the tune of a soft song. Then, I'll hum along, and spend my day in happiness.
