Mei Xiang, or Mei as she prefers to be called, is a sweet, kind soul. She's selfless and giving, and will gladly put down what she's doing in an instant if it means she can help someone else. She is loving and and has motherly instincts, despite the fact she doesn't have children. Kids often take a liking to her very quickly.

Mei is a bubbly individual. She's full of high-spirits and is always enthusiastic. She never goes over-the-top, however, and she always knows when to tone it down. She always hopes for the best, and is certainly what one may describe as an optimist. Her mood is practically contagious - she can always brighten up her friends simply by being around.

Being so bright takes a lot of energy away from Mei, though that won't stop her! You'll often find her sleeping after a long day. Her favourite place to sleep is in a cluster of bamboo, because she's small enough to be concealed by the plant's leaves. Mei is very cuddly, so it isn't uncommon to see her clinging to something in her sleep - weather it be a pillow, a leaf or another Belladee who happened to doze off next to her.

Mei's most well-known quality, closely followed by her kindness, is her love for bamboo. She adorns her home with small bamboo plants in plantpots, and frequently wears a woven crown of bamboo leaves. She is even practicing bamboo carving, which is her favourite relaxation method.
