Includes all of the Racequids, except for Secretariat because he is still up for adoption, and Ruffian due to owner preferences. I still wanted to include them some how; so they are just so far ahead that they couldn't be drawn into the main frame. ^^
Where he is now;
While in reality, Seabiscuit died of a heart attack at the young age of fourteen, he still lives in the hearts of those who here his story. Captured in all his lustrous details, there are several statues of Seabiscuit, outside the main entrance to the Shops at Tanforan- the former site of Tanforan racetrack, One at Santa Anita racetrack, one at Rigewood ranch, and a life-sized one of him and George Woolf at the Remington Carriage Museum in Woolfs hometown; Cardston, Alberta. Because he is now remade as an Wild Mountain Equid, he has not died at the age of fourteen, but will continue in his simple life with my equids Fenrir and Raedon, where i hope that he never dies, and will be happy.
Seabiscuit makes life seem easy as a pasture friend for Raedon, and is an on-site therapy equid. He gladly stands for hours on end for the young humans to groom out his lovely bay coat. While he doesn’t really like his legs being brushed, or his feet being messed with, he tolerates it for the young ones mental health; and occasionally even treats them with a gentle hug as if saying ‘good bye’
How I Imagine him to look and sound;
It's known that thoroughbred horses are a bit skinner than normal horses, most of their body weight in muscle to help that with strength and stamina, and Wild Mountain Equids are also noted for being rather frail, i imagine Seabicuit's frame to be frail, though bulging with muscle at his shoulders, chest, and rear end. His legs, long with skinny, and his fitting for his frame of small but elegant. His hair, i picture, to be soft, yet has much more 'fluff' to it that most other equids; more volume to it than normal; or perhaps it looks this way because he is almost always running and the way the air makes it move; gives the illusion of their being more
Being born in the state of Kentucky, Seabiscuit holds a very mild southern accent to his smooth and silky voice. Deep and resonating far below in his chest; Seabiscuit speaks with authority; and only when faced with a lovely mare he cant help but to admire, his voice wavers ever so much to give him a teenagers feel, even if one happened to be blind and in the same vicinity as this stud; his voice would simply be enough to return the notion of being a male. Occasionally this boy gives the impression of a Spanish heritage, rolling his R’s over his tongue when he wishes to impress a female he has not met before; though to his knowledge he holds no such lineage
Personality;
As a young colt, Seabiscuit was rather lethargic; though now hes grown out of mostly. Loving to run with the other racequids; he devotes most of his time to keeping his ‘figure’ crisp and clean. With a slightly egotistical air about him, he loves to look at himself, and enjoys the hours spent brushing and being pet with the smaller humans during their therapy hours. Often this time is also spent shared with the other stud of the barn, Raedon, where he loves to make small chat with the young equid. Because most know who he is, he relishes in the spotlight when he happens to be taken out to therapy showings, but he loves when he returns to the farm even more, where its such a small town, he is treated as any other equid. Seabiscuits attitude is one of the most pliable; and depends on the situation to give how he will act. Kind and caring side comes when met with the same, and if a hostile vibe is felt he may return with such. Because of this, he is not friends with many equids because they never know what side of him they may get. A bad side of this equid would be that he is deadly serious when he comes to racing, and while he does not often win, he occasionally holds a grudge. Deadly competitive, he hates to lose, but will admit defeat when necessary.
How he is with my Equids Raedon and Fenrir;
With my equid
Raedon, Seabiscuit is a soft spoken stud, gentle with his words to the equally kind male. They often spend their time chatting of things that have happened to them. While Raedon doesn’t have as many illustrious things to talk about as the older racequid, he has small feats to talk of, such as his only son rune as his biggest accomplishment. Occasionally the two males clash on ideas to do together, such as spending a day out in the orchard to chat and have that ‘male bond’, and often the plans are canceled, or simply forgotten in other conversations.
With my little mare
Fenrir, Seabiscuit is quite defensive, competitive and perhaps even somewhat standoffish. Perhaps it is simply that she is a spunky female with a soft heart that gets his blood boiling; but their conversations usually end in a bet on whom is faster, mostly Seabiscuit wins; though on some occasions, he can sense that the silver grulla mare believes much more passionately than he, and he gives her the win, claiming that his older age is simply getting the better of him.
