What are Belldandy's?
Belldandys, also known as Belldees for short, are a fluffy little pixie horse the size of a small rodent. The Belldee will fly from house to house, normally through a window, visiting little children and infants before they fall asleep. Their bells hold a certain pixie dust that brings the little ones good fortune and sweet dreams. Belldandy's eyes are always closed, giving them a calm, pleasant expression upon their faces. They can come in an assortment of colors, any colors you could possibly imagine. Though Belldee's can fly, it is less common for them to have wings; their magical aura is what helps most to fly. Belldandys eat flower petals and leaves for the most part, anything else they eat would consist of an assortment of berries or grasses. One thing they love especially, but is so rare for them to come across is tea. They are obsessed with it and will stop dead in their tracks if they see a cup of it sitting on a table or stand. Lots of people leave tea out at night to try and spot the fluffy pixies.

Favorite bird and why the Sri Lanka Blue Magpie. How could you not love such an amazing, unique, beautiful bird? Salem loves this bird for many reasons. One being it's color pallet, another being the starry crest around the eyes. But here favorite thing about this bird is not on it's exterior, but in its behavioral patterns. It gets lonely when not around other birds, which is why it stays in groups of six or seven. This, for some reason, warms Salem and makes her feel closer to the bird, as she is the same way. She constantly needs to be around others, or she'll suffer heartbreak and loneliness.

Favorite bird and why: Though an avid bird watcher and a fan of all avians, Jay's favorite bird definitely has to be the kiwi. In a world of bright colored plummage and majestic fliers, people sometimes find it odd that Jay would pick such a dull looking flightless bird, but that's exactly why he loves them so much. There's a kind of earnestness in a bird that doesn't need to show off fancy feathers to the whole world that Jay admires. And flying, while quite nice in some rights, has a tendency to blur everything below you together the higher you go. It's much easier to appreciate the earth's natural beauty when you're right there inside of it, watching how every little thing contributes to make it work all around you. In the air, there's nothing to see but clouds.

Favorite bird and why: Cloud likes the tui best. He's a huge fan of Star Wars and the tui's call sounds like Droid, so of course he has to, ahem, fangirl. He also likes the little white tuft of feathers on their chests, after all it looks just like a marshmallow. He does not live in New Zealand, the tui's native land, however, so he doesn't see or hear them often.

They can blend in with the snow and deceive waiting for the right moment to strike.

Favorite bird and why: Definitely the European Roller - everything counts; the major acrobatics from where they get their name; the subtle tilt of the primary feather in flight; the colorful decoration and the placement of it's feathers; the sharpness of their beak and intelligent eyes; the grace of their proportions; the shimmer of their feathers in the sun; the glint of blue under the wings; I could go on, but I fear I would bore you. All birds are wonderful, but the European Roller is, overall, Sift's utmost favourite.
