Parra's Treasure and Hoard: The thing that this parra treasures above all else is the shell that he came from as a babe.

Cecil hoards ancient artifacts that are connected to dragons such as fossils (bones, shells, scales, fangs, talons, ect) He hopes to someday find a living one. wip.

~Story~

Through the intruders eyes
Hearing tale of a mysterious beast and a treasure that is beyond value has drawn you to the edge of a small town. With so few, and rather unkempt buildings; to an unknowing eye it would seem almost abandoned. After taking the liberty to knock on nearly every door still no one seemed to answer. Until a glimpse of movement caught your eye. Turning around you see that someone had actually left their house momentarily so you quickly rush over and place your foot in the door so they can not close it on you.

The small woman who looked to be terrified responded to your actions with a quick. "What? What is it that you want from me?" You of course tell her you've been searching for something and in hunting this down it has lead you to this town. Almost more terrified now she replied once more. "You shouldn't be here, some things are just meant to stay lost to this world forever. Don't you know that?" After a bit more pleading, the woman finally lets out a sigh as she begins to tell you of a large cliff.

At the base of this cliff there is a cave. In her hurry to get rid of you she tells you that if you sail into this cave you will find what you're looking for, but she warns you there is a cost to the item you desire. "A beast guards what you've been searching for, not just any beast, this beast is intelligent and can not be fooled by mans actions. It will protect the item with it's life if it comes to it. Are you prepared for that?"

After thanking the woman and letting her retreat into her home, without answering her statement. You begin the long journey to the cave in question. Taking several horses, carriages, even a few boats. This had given enough time for the woman's words of caution to echo in your mind over and over again. However having come so far you couldn't let her foolish warning get to you. Having almost arrived at your final destination you took refuge in a little fishing town. Entering an inn you asked the inn keeper if she knew of anyone that could possibly take out to a cave you had heard tale of and wished to explore.

The inn keeper looked up from her log book then removed her glasses and simply said. "It's not going to be easy to find someone willing to sail those waters." You explain to her that this is just something you have to do. Given a moment to ponder she appears as though she had thought of something. "I might know someone foolish enough to take you out there." Giving you the man's description and where you can find him, of course you rush off to the docks to search.

Almost a full days search later you find the man the inn keeper has told you about and he agrees to take you out to the cave at dawn. After a rather sleepless night, you arrive at the docks bright and early. Just knowing how close your journey was to being over, it was nerve-racking. About an hour or two of waiting late, the man you had met before, rowed up beside the dock you were standing on. Without so much as even an exchange of words you were in the boat.

It took hours before the cave was even close to being in sight. Nearly having nodded off the man finally speaks to you. "This is as far as I am going." Taking a look at the man the over to the cliff you can see the very cave you had been searching for. However you had expected him to at least enter the cave. With a frustrated sigh, you dive from the boat into the open waters and begin swimming to the cave.

Once inside the dark cavern it takes only a few moments before your feet are able to touch the ground. Completely soaked to the bone the draft this cave created chilled you to your core. Everything on you was now soaking wet, there was no way to start a fire, so you had no warmth and no light. Ever still you pressed on, keeping your hand on the damp wall.

Pressing further and further you only seem to shiver more and the cold is almost unbearable. You become very close to suffering from hypothermia. After fumbling around in the darkness for hours you can see a small light ahead. Approaching the light you feel a slight warmth and as you peek into the rather well lit room of the cavern you see a mountain of chests. The chests were of all sizes and nothing else seemed to inhabit the room.

Without noticing, a mist like green gas seems to form around your feet. A tear rolls down your cheek as you begin to feel sleepy. Within a few moments the room begins to disappear from your sight and your body lays resting on the floor of the cave. The last thing you see is a dark onyx colored body standing over you.

Through the dragons eyes
Standing over yet another unconscious intruder a sigh escapes you. Taking their arm you drape them over your back then continue into your hoard room. Giving a glance as you walk past the mountain of boxes you've collected you continue into another tunnel. This tunnel lead up to the surface and the only one who knew of it's existence was you.

Able to feel the breeze from the surface you begin to walk through water. A veil of ivy lays in front of you. Ever so gently you push your way through the ivy, the sunshine is bright and warm on your face. It seems the human on your back is beginning to stir ever so slightly so you continue outward. Carrying them far away from your cave you lay them down in a field so that the sun may dry their soaking clothes and body.

Taking some time to stretch your own wings in the warmth of day you look around then against your better judgement you decide to rest a bit before heading back to your home. Observing the human before you, something seems off, the human seems to be smiling..and leaking at the same time in his slumber. Watching the droplets roll down the humans cheek, in the past you thought you recalled that leaking from the eyes symbolized sadness. It didn't seem sad though. The human reminded of something, something that you often admired in your stash.

Taking a slight stretch you flap your large wings repeatedly, after a moment you are lifted high up into the sky. Soaring all the way back to the ivy covered cave you reenter your cave and go into your hoard room. Carefully climbing the boxes, you begin to dig down into your pile. Pulling out a box that isn't very large at all and almost like velvet to the touch you keep the box in your mouth then leave the cave once more.

Landing back in the meadow you can obviously see that the human is still completely passed out. You open their hand then place the small box in their palm and close their hand around the box. Taking a few steps back you take refuge behind a tree and simply observe the human once more. As a bit of time passes, the human begins to stir more frequently.

A bit more time passes before the human completely awakens. They sit up and look around but don't notice you. You notice them look in their hand, having noticed the box you placed there. After they open the box you can see the glint of the item inside from where you're standing. It was a rather large and beautiful teardrop shaped pink pearl. Noticing them look around once more you duck down a bit to make sure they don't see you.

As they get to their feet and begin to lead you happen to notice that they are clearly smiling, just as they were in their sleep. In that moment you feel a bit content in what you've and look down to the key around your neck. You gently touch your paw to the key that hangs around your neck and with a sigh you begin walking home.

~Treasure and Hoard~
The item this Parra treasures most is the key that hangs around it's neck.
The key only opens one box, however he's the only one who knows which box. His true treasure is hidden inside the box that the key opens, what's truly inside it though is a mystery.
The items this Parra hoards are boxes.
He collects boxes of any shape, form or condition. No one really knows why he originally started collecting the boxes but some have a theory that it's to keep his true treasure hidden forever. It would be nearly impossible for someone to find his box and make it out of his cave before he could find them, and even if they did they would still need his key to open it. Each and every box in his hoard contains one item, to distract the curiosity of thieves from his most precious.

Parra's Treasure and Hoard: "I'm not the usual 'ooh shiny, glittery jewels' kind of dragon. I prefer something a little more unorthodox. I hoard books. I have books from as far back as they have existed, and mind you, I've had to be pretty persistent to get some of them. I will guard them with my life, and I have had to a couple of times. My prefered genre is fantasy. NO not knights slaughtering dragons fantasy. More of 'Harry Potter' and 'Maximum Ride' style fantasy. I try to avoid romance novels at as much as I can. Yuck I hate those kind of books, all sappy and no action. Laugh if you want, but I bet you hate stuff that I would find amusing. Now I believe that you also asked me about my favorite treasure right? Well, my prized possession is the original, handwritten 'Codex Seraphinianus'. Nobody has even been able to decipher what it says because the author, Luigi Serafini, used his own code to write it. Its an extremely fascinating book to study. I really hope to be the one to crack the code and decypher the genius that is the Codex."
