username;; Captain Cuttlefish, at your service! I'm currently a non-owner, and I'm hoping to make this wonderful little dinosaurian Deerssert my very first! <3
▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
Name;; The scientists called her Test Subject 489 most of the time, but some of them would sometimes call her "the Trumpet Lizard" because of the sounds she could make with her horn. She then began to refer to herself by that name, and some of the animals in the cages next to her did, too. The most common nickname for her was Trumpet.
▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
Gender;; She is a female, but she has, thanks to the experiments performed on her, received features of a male Parasaurolophus when she was being tested on. She started out as a female, however, so that's what she is.
▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
Where did they come from? Trumpet came from the future... And the past! Quite a long ways into the future, time-travel is finally made possible. One animal testing facility was especially well-known for its ancient animals, because they had the ability to travel back in time to retrieve them using a special time machine. Trumpet was brought back all the way from the Cretacious period to be tested on. She received traits due to the experimenting of a male Parasaurolophus(and of course Deerssert!), such as her ability to make those trumpeting noise she was so well-known for in the facility.
But, as could be quested, Trumpet didn't really like the facility. The tests were rather painful, and she hated being trapped inside a tiny cage all day and all night. So one day, when a scientist was trying to get her out of her cage for some experiments, she broke free, and ran into the time machine that was placed on the other side of the room. A scientist had been preparing to use it at the time, and when Trumpet saw it, she knew exactly what she had to do to get free. Of course, the problem was just that she had no idea when she was going.
Eventually, Trumpet found herself in an odd world that was a little like her Cretacious home, and a little like the future she came from. The only thing was that there was no time-travel here, so Trumpet had no choice but to stay. The odd thing, though, was that none of the scientists came to look for her. She had tried this trick before, and always they had come searching for her... But this time they just didn't. Perhaps they just gave up on her? She still has no clue, but she hasn't really complained about it much, as she wouldn't want to go back there for the world.

Do they have special powers? Yes, Trumpet has noticed that she has one odd ability that most animals do not have. She can sort of sense thoughts in the form of emotions with her mind. Sure, it's not a very helpful ability, but it is odd nonetheless. She can sense these emotions, and it's much like someone just whispering a word into her ear to tell them about a certain animal's emotions. For example, when a squirrel flees at the sight of the dinosaurian Trumpet, words like startling and fearful can be heard by Trumpet, and it sounds like someone's just lightly whispering it to her.
Trumpet has tried to practice this 'power,' hoping that it can turn into something cooler, like telepathy, but none off he animals have stayed behind to offer help so far. She believes that if she can just get someone to sit, and not flee from her, then she can try very hard, and perhaps improve her abilities to something greater.
▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
What is their goal? Trumpet's goal is to find some animal somewhat like her... After all, the testing facility did have hundreds of mutated animals... There's no way she's the only one who broke free, right?
Trumpet wanders around, mostly, just searching in any possible place for someone who might be like her. In all of her time on this planet, she hasn't found one yet. She's mainly just found creatures who are terrified of her. But, she can't blame them. She does look exactly like a dinosaur, after all. And what normal creature wouldn't be afraid of a seven-ton lizard looking them in the eye? Only a dinosaur, and since there were no other dinosaurs around, most creatures are terrified of her.
