Story; “So my close friends and I just recently returned from the Amazon Rain Forest and it was just beautiful! We saw tons of amazing looking plants and animals and it just felt so good to be around the wild life. My most favorite thing that we saw and did while we were in the Rain Forest was being able to see the jaguar, which I loved. I also loved our guide, he was a very nice Plumerian and very good at doing his job. He knew everything and I mean literally everything about the Rain Forest and he also had this very intriguing accent that just made it fun to listen to. The only down side about the Rain Forest was the nasty mosquitoes that flew around your head the whole day and the heat, but that was more easy to get used to then the bugs. The next place we are going to travel is going to be the Australian Outback and I cannot wait! But we will most definitely be visiting the Rain Forest some time again in the future.”

Nonbinary, biologically male.

Story;
Germany was born into a family of generally bigger and stronger plumerians. When he was born, everybody knew he was different. Everybody knew he was going to be smaller forever, but Germany took no notice. He played and ate and went on adventures like all of the other plumies, and always jumped over the obstacles of being the family joke and runt. His mother was the only one who loved him all the same, she didn't treat him differently, she took care of him alongside all of his brothers and sisters. Germany was always a happy plumie, despite all the problems in his life. He took pride in himself and didn't see him different at all, despite the fact that later in his life he'd always be considered a pup. Eventually, Germany's mother died and he felt more lost then he had ever felt in his live. The one plumie who had really loved him his entire life, was gone. Eventually he got over it and was able to move on with his life. After his mother's death, plumies began to treat him normally and even friendly. Everybody grew to like him as just another one of them. Germany now spends his time wandering meadows, searching for bumblebees to chase and flowers to lay in.
~
Germany raced through the meadows. He wasn't trying to escape from anyone, he was just playing around and having a good time. Germany loved these meadows, even in the wintertime when they were marbled with snow and the air was cool. He loved running over the endless hills and feeling the soft grass under his small paws. Most of all, he loved the things that would run with him.
Germany liked to imagine things running by his side, besides the little blue-jays and sparrows that would watch him from above. No, Germany likes to imagine little spirits following him and helping him to run faster, helping him to stay happy, always. Spirits were Germany's best friends.
Germany stopped for a moment. In front of him was a forest, where he hadn't dared go before. The tree trunks were thick and rubbery-looking and the leaves were wide and dark green. He was afraid. He didn't like anything different from the meadow he was raised in.
But, like they would, Germany's imaginary spirits pushed him forward. He walked into the forest carefully, quietly. He felt afraid, but brave at the same time. He felt this new, squishy dirt under his paws, saw only darkness and tree trunks ahead of him. He was used to the bright sun on his back, not shade from leaves. He was afraid.
Germany hurried forward. It was scary, this new land, but Germany found it interesting. He pawed around in the roots of trees and small rabbits ran out. He jumped, though he'd seen rabbits before in the grass. He was interested in this.
Germany continued along. He was trembling with fear, but he had to keep walking. He heard an owl hoot at him from above, and he heard something growl. These things made him run back to the meadow in fear.
Oh, well. He thought, continuing home. Maybe tomorrow.

      Nope ^^
      Story;
      Whether it was the warm smell of incense, or the feel of the flames of the dancing fire radiating on my koala grey fur, I'll always remember my first Christmas. I was a young one, around the age of a year. I had no experience in the outer world. I spent most of my life imaging the comfort and luxury that an overfed housecat would be lavishing, whilst I curled up on the streets in a cardboard box for a taste of warmth.

      It was a grim afternoon, the rain coated my pelt and the droplets clung to my eyelashes like barnacles to a submarine. The skies were overcast, it had been raining for hours. From my tired eyes dripped the running liquid of a few soulful tears, washed with the precipitation from above. A couple of halfhearted smiles and passing glances was all to be gained from the life of a street cat.

      The following morning was busy alike the morning before, although minus the rain. Yet again there were many passersby, none giving me a second inspection. I sat there and waited for hours, resting in my box of shame. Someone did come by though, someone who saved me. If felt like God had sent his angel to come and rescue me. It puzzled me why anyone would come and adopt me. Why not buy one of those adorable kittens in the shop window I walk past every day?

      Her hands were soft. She had a shining ivory smile and a gentle, friendly voice. Her name was Milly. Milly was a young two leg, with hazelnut hair and bright emerald eyes. I was nervous and trembled because of the nipping frostbite, but she held me with toasty, confident hands and pressed me closely to her chest. I could hear the strong beating of her heart through the cotton fleece she had zipped up. It comforted me and all I remember from that moment was the deep sleep that followed.

      I awoke, the room carried many new sights and scents. My paw pads glowed a healthy salmon colour for the first time in months. I felt like a kitten again. Under me lay a soft wool blanket, I snuggled my little face into it and began purring like the humming of a happy child. After a few more hours sleep, I eventually stood up and stretched out my spine slowly. Around the room picture frames coated the pastel walls and a large black tall box displaying moving pictures sat in the corner on a long oak wood table.

      The floor was surprisingly soft, still toasty from the heat of the now distinguished fire. I mewed quietly, glancing around at my picturesque surroundings. Walking through an open arch, I looked into the next room. On the floor I spied a dish, I could scent the tuna and my stomach longed for its fishy taste. Padding over cautiously, I ate the food in a matter of seconds. My ears rotated quickly, picking up the sound of an approaching creature.

      It was Milly, she picked me up once more and ran her gentle hand from my head to the tip of my tail. I purred happily and flexed my paws. She took me into the room I was in before and sat in front of the moving picture box, stroking me whilst she watched. That night I slept in her room. I'd never had such a good night's sleep. It was from then on that we'd be soulmates for the rest of my life.

      Little months past, it was colder and the floor was white with powder. A tall pine tree decorated with sparkling plastic balls stood in the main room next to the spitting wood burner. Beautiful paper covered boxes neatly tied with ribbon sat under it. A heavy cinnamon smell entered my nostrils, as the burning candle died out. Milly cradled me in her loving arms, her other two leg relatives in the room and scattered decorated paper everywhere, with a side order of ribbon. I was plump with turkey and heavily sleeping. I heard them chanting... "1...2...3... Happy New Year!" A new start for me with Milly.

mollie ;; 375

name; mollie
gender; female
pps?; yes
story;

Mollie's soft little paws scrabbled to take a hold on the smooth material of the armchair, her body wriggling about as she attempted to stay upright- even as her back legs dangled over the edge of the seat. She was slipping backwards, but at the last moment managed to push her muzzle forwards to grip the edge of her cushion in her narrow jaws. So there the young Plumerian stayed, her head and front paws on the chair, her back legs just able to touch the floor with the tips of her paws.
By thrusting her head forwards and wriggling hard, Mollie was eventually able to pull herself onto the seat, where she rubbed her head against the armrest as she got her breath back. From the chair, she was able to hop up onto the glass coffee table to her right and, from there, wriggle then onto the back of the armchair to a perfect view out of the living-room window.
It was large, and opened out onto the wide lawn outside. Grass stretched until it reached the hedge bordering the garden, a narrow gravel path leading from the door to the wooden gate set into the hedge. Through the gate, you could see just a strip of tarmac, and the occasional roaring flash of colour.
The lawn itself was mostly empty, save for a few scattered flowers and the big oak tree directly diagonal to the house.

Mollie gazed out, awe and delight in her eyes. The breeze was sifting through the grass, waving the branches of the oak slightly, and the watery winter sunlight lit up the tips of each flower petal and leaf. It was beautiful out there, with the cloud-streaked sky and the hazy yellow of the sun. But Mollie knew in her heart that, no matter how much she longed to explore it, she would never be able to try. She was just too frightened.

The shrieks and cheers of distant laughter caught her attention, and interest sparking in her eyes, she raised her head and attempted to see the Plumies. There was maybe five or six young ones, further down the row of houses in one of the gardens, and they were running about, playing, laughing with one another...

Mollie ducked her head. But her mind was racing. Maybe... she could just sit on the step by the door... it wasn't as though she had to go any further?

Very, very slowly, the young plumerian peered around the front door. She was shaking hard, her paws quivering even as she took the tiny steps to come further around to sit in front of the house. A cold wind buffeted her fluffy chest as she braved a little further around the door, peeking out to check for danger. Mollie shivered. But, although her heart was quaking, she huddled herself close and ordered herself to be brave. "Nothing to be afraid of... it's just the garden," she whispered to herself, very carefully placing one paw onto the freezing stone of the front step. "Nothing to worry about..."
As Mollie moved away from the door, winding her whole body out of the house, she felt a wonderful sense of achievement. She'd been brave! She'd actually--

Her brief sense of joy disappeared in an instant, however, at the frenzied barking of a large dog on the other side of the hedge. Mollie watched in horror, crouched low, as the dog scrambled up over the gate, barking and growling all the while, its huge paws carrying it over the wood in moments. It dived towards her, snarling, and in a desperate terror Mollie bolted- not back inside, where there was no escape if the dog followed her, but away across the lawn. She could sense the dog thudding after her, feel its breath all over her back, and cried out as she felt sharp teeth nip her tail. But then she reached the hedge and plunged desperately under, wriggling in a panic through the tough roots as the dog bayed furiously on the other side. And then Mollie was through, skidding onto the tarmac road on the other side and rearing in fear as a car splashed past, inches from her nose. She tried to turn around, but the dog would be waiting; and so the terrified young plumerian sprinted away up the road, racing along the narrow grassy verge, flinching away from the cars that shot past. And she ran until her legs, never before feeling the roughness of this material- used only to soft carpet and smooth wood flooring- could no longer keep going. Mollie collapsed beside the road, whimpering as rain started to fall on her mud-soaked pelt. Within minuites she was soaked, but she was spent; her heart was racing from the excersize and the panic.

Only when the exhaustion shifted slightly did she realise she was completely lost; there wasn't a single place she knew outside, nor was there much point in trying to scent her way- the rain had washed all that away. So the little girl struggled to a seating position, and there she remained, head bowed, rain running off her little grey head in rivets, her paws tucked close to her chest. She was the picture of misery.

Mollie wasn't aware of time passing, but after about three hours, without warning an idea blurred into a picture in her mind. "I didn't turn any corners," she realised slowly, murmuring the words aloud to make them real. "So I just need to go back the way I came!"
Of course, she knew the dog could still be in the garden. But she just wanted to go home, to be with her owners by the warmth of a fire.
And so, with evening quickly falling, the rain hammering down fom the clouds, with aching legs and burning paws- Mollie started the slow, steady trudge home.

And just over an hour later, with the sky darkening all the while, water dripping from her shoulders and her tail and head dropping, she forced her exhausted body under the gate and down the path. Every step was agony. But it was better than miles of endless wet road and bordering hedges, of splashing cars that coated her in filthy water.
"Mollie!"
The plumerian raised her head slowly, and suddenly was able to let her entire body relax as the rushing feet of her owner came sprinting from the house, and warm hands lifted her and cradled her body against a reassuring figure. "Oh, sweetie, you're all wet! It's okay now, it's okay. I'm here. Mummy's here. Oh, Mollie, where did you go?! Come on, now, I'll take you inside. You'll be nice and warm soon."

Less than ten minuites later, Mollie was warm and dry once more. She was curled up on the lap of her owner as they sat in the same armchair Mollie had struggled to climb up that same morning. A fire blazed nearby; Mollie smiled sleepily as she shifted into the warm lap, the terrors of the day driven away by food, warmth and love. Yes, the young plumerian thought to herself as she drifted steadily off to sleep; going outside might be alright for some, but I'm happiest in here.

Story:

"Hic!" Matilda gasped shortly, then frowned. She hated the hiccups with a passion, so she was in a bit of a foul mood. "Hic!" She held her round little stomach sadly, as if comforting it would make the hiccups go away. Her eyes searched the ground around her with a mild interest as she looked for a hiccup remedy.
"Hic!" Four little grey paws heaved themselves up and began clumsily padding over the soft Earth. "Water should -hic- help" Matilda squeaked, picking her way carefully over to a tiny stream of the clear liquid. She lapped it up gratefully, then sat down to see if it worked. "HIC!" Matilda scrunched up her eyes and began to think hard, but was distracted by a loud bark. Her head turned sharply towards a nearby fence. A mean-looking dog was peering at her through a hole in the fence, and barking angrily. She toddled over to him curiously, and began to inspect him. Matilda was not afraid of the dog, not because she was brave but because she simply did not understand the damage the creature could do to her. It growled and snarled at her impatiently, and she watched it with her simple but intelligent gaze, trying to decide what to make of it. "Do you -hic- know how to cure the -hic- ups?" She asked in her musical little voice. The creature did not answer and continued to bark furiously at her. Matilda decided that the dog hadn't simply hadn't heard her, and privately thought to herself that he should stop yelling so loud but was too polite to tell him. She was about to skip right up to his muzzle to yell it in his ear so he could hear her when her small attention span moved to focus on the sudden movement that she could see out of the corner of her eye.
A chipmunk darted across the lawn, its cheeks stuffed to the brim with nuts. Matilda's head tilted as she watched the chipmunk.... and forgot the dog just like that. "Hic! Darn it." Her little problem had popped back into her mind. Wanting to ask the chipmunk if it could cure hiccups, the little Plumie followed it as fast as her chubby baby paws could take her. She came huffing and puffing to the top of a small grassy hill and stopped to catch her breath. The chipmunk was well ahead of her. "W-hic-ait!" She cried, and began hurrying down the hill. The incline was too steep for her to be going that fast and the little one tripped over her own paws and began somersaulting down rapidly. She reached the bottom with a thump that stunned her. Matilda lay there pitifully for a few seconds as the world seemed to revolve all too quickly around her. Then slowly she lifted herself up into a sitting position as she attempted to choke down sobs. She was not badly hurt, but she was just in shock and scared of how she had suddenly tumbled. But of course she forgot the fall within minutes as most adventurous youngsters do, and continued on her way with just a couple more hiccups to remind her of her quest.
Matilda shuffled back to her home quietly, except for a few "-hic"s along the way. She was feeling sad and annoyed, because she couldn't get rid of her hiccups and not a creature seemed to want to help her. It seemed as though she would have to figure it out herself. She sat down heavily, and scrunched up her eyes as she always did when trying to think hard. Maybe if I stand on my head the hiccups will be so shocked they will stop! She thought, nodding determinedly. She ambled over to a nearby tree and attempted a headstand with her legs leaning against the trunk. But instead of the hiccups going away, they replied with such vigor that the tiny Plumie toppled over from the force. But she sprung back to her feet stubbornly, and began to think of a new plan. "I shall -hic- hold my breath so the -hic- ups can't even get out! (-hic)" She squealed, and promptly drew in a huge breath and held it. At first it seemed to be a wonderful idea, but then her lungs began to ache and her face began to quiver from the effort. But she had an iron will, and refused to let the breath out. Suddenly she saw began to see stars, and her lungs where on fire. Matilda had a sudden flash of confusion, and it seemed that she could not even take a breath if she wanted to! Then -clunk- the little one slumped over as she lost consciousness.
Matilda awoke to see a familiar looking chipmunk staring right into her face. It chirped with surprise and darted away quickly out of sight. Ugh, what happened? Matilda though sluggishly, as she struggled to her feet. "Ah yes, I was holding my breath and...." She suddenly tensed, as if waiting for something to spring at her. She sat completely still for about a minute, then gleefully leaped into the air. "They're gone! My hiccups are gone!" She danced around in a circle, marveling at her triumph. Indeed she was so happy that she sprinted across the grass as fast as she could, proclaiming to the whole world that she had succeed in curing the hiccups as she went. Then she sat down as a breeze went by, and breathed it in serenely. It was so nice to be able to breath without having a bothersome hiccup. But, as luck would have it, she accidental swallowed too much air in a not so natural way, which caused her diaphragm to have a spasm....
"-HIC- not AGAIN!!"
