As much as a mare can be a fine steed, I see the Headless Horseman's steed as a great stallion. Considering there is also speculation of the Horseman being Brom, and the Headless Horseman's horse being Brom's steed, Brom's steed is male and his name is Daredevil. Whether that is true or not, I believe a masculine, strong, unruly stallion is very fitting for the Headless Horseman's steed.

Tell me, in your words, What the Headless Horseman Legend is: The Headless Horseman Legend was first told in "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving, I believe. It is a story about Ichabod Crane and how he competes with Brom Bones for a girl, Katrina Van Tassel. Well, as it Igoes along, Ichabod and Brom are both invited to a party held by Katrina's father. Brom tells the scary story of the Headless Horseman, whom was a Hessian artilleryman killed via decapitation during war. His head was left behind while his body was carried off, and that body was buried in Sleep Hollow's graveyard. The Headless Horseman rises each night to haunt people and look for his forgotten head. When Ichabod goes home after the party, the Horseman chases him until Ichabod races across the bridge. He cannot cross. However, the Headless Horseman takes his Jack-O-Lantern head he hangs on his saddle and throws it at Ichabod. Ichabod is never seen again.

Gender: Mare, most people would think of the headless horsemanship steed to be a big tough bold stallion with bulging muscles and a blood thirsty reputation. But I feel like that would be too atypical. I chose the gender to be female because I feel that the headless horsemen, when he was alive and headed would need a horse that would loyally carry him on endless quests to obtain his reputation, sitting atop a gittery flashy stallion gawking at every mare that passed might not be the best idea if you wanted to look as though you were in complete control of things.

Tell me, in your words, What the Headless Horseman Legend is:
The first folk tale that I ever heard about the headless horse man in went something like this; It all began in a place called Sleepy Hollow, New York, during the American Revolutionary War. the Horseman was a Hessian artilleryman who was killed during a brutal battle. He was decapitated by an American cannonball, and the shattered remains of his head were left on the battlefield while his fellow soldiers carried his body away. Eventually they buried him in Sleepy Hollow, but each night he rises as a headless ghost, furiously seeking his lost head. Anyone who crosses he and his steeds path find themselves with the same fate, headless...
