Dinosaur Fact: Lark Quarry in Australia is known for its large area of dinosaur tracks that cover the ground. For years they believed that the prints were left by a stampede caused by a predator charging a group of dinosaurs at a watering hole, however a new scientist has discovered that none of the tracks seem to be of a predator even though the tracks left are light as if running. He believes that the dinosaurs, which were most likely Muttaburrasaurus, were in fact swimming through the water for many weeks and the buoyancy of the water lifted them up leaving tracks that were not deep.

Pachycephalosaurus. I had a bunch of dinosaur figurines as a kid, but the one I had of that one is the only one I have left.

Dinosaur

Dinosaur Fact:
No dinosaur egg was bigger than a basketball. Since a larger egg needs a thicker shell, an egg larger than than would have a shell too thick for the baby to break through.

Aaaaaaaaah I flarging love dinosaurs. I wanted to be a paleontologist for the longest time as a kid. This plumie is pretty darn adorable.

Dinosaur Fact:
Dinosaurs grew relatively quickly. The mamenchisaurus, for example, a four-legged, plant-eating dinosaur with a long neck that made up half of its total 70-foot body length, took only about 30 years to grow to adult size.

Dinosaur Fact: Tyrannosaurus rex looked the most ferocious of all the dinosaurs, but in terms of overall cunning, determination and its array of vicious weapons it was Utahraptor that was probably the fiercest of all. Utahraptor measured about 7 metres, and was a very powerful, agile and intelligent predator.

Children's Movie: The Land Before Time
Dinosaur Fact: Though mosasaurs, ichthyosaurs, pterosaurs, plesiosaurs, and Dimetrodon are commonly believed to be dinosaurs, they are not technically dinosaurs. The term “dinosaur” refers to just land-dwelling reptiles that have a specific hip structure, among other traits.
