Deer of Ele (D.O.E) or simply Ele Deer, is a newly discovered breed of deer that holds some truly curious and unusual characteristics. Their coats and patterns resemble those of equines, while their lifestyles are akin to common deer. However it's the origin of D.O.Es that has caused the most concern, as it seems the species was never discovered in just one place, but the creatures began to 'appear' everywhere throughout the world. This 'arrival', along with rare sightings of a crescent moon shaped horn that crowns these specimens, have created a whirlwind of questions, stories and even soon to be legends. Sometimes Ele deer are called ''aliens'', ''travellers'' or ''visitors'' as a result.
Today, Ele Deer are mainly used for breeding and are carefully observed in order to discover all the genes and patterns they may hold. Unlike wild deer, but similarly to equines however, D.O.Es seem to form extremely strong bonds with humans Will you?

His first steps were covered in ice and frost. Being the last fawn born before winter struck and the first born son of the herd leader, Aquilo was justly nicknamed "The prince of Frost". Aquilo was taught to carry himself with poise and grace, even as the winter winds raged against him. As winter grew stronger many fell victim to its grasp. So many that some of the D.O.Es thought Aquilo was to blame for the blizzards ravaging the land, claiming his late birth as a bad omen.

Aquilos elegance and cold disposition made it hard for him to be friends, or even be friendly with the other fawns. That is... until he met her. She was one of the fawns born as the spring flowers started to burst through the snow.
They met in a hidden grove near their home. Something about her captivated Aquilos and he was smitten. They became inseparable.

In these coming years
Many things will change

As they grew older so did their responsibilities they could no longer escape to the secret grove together. Aquilo was now occupied with the roll as prince of the herd. Strutting across the meadow and making sure everyone was safe and in check.
The winds began to grow colder and so was he. Being the prince, he had to withhold a certain dominance over the herd. He unknowingly became arrogant and judgmental, which put a strain in his relationship with his unrequited love. Blinded by his duties as prince he lashed out on her one crisp November day, ultimately driving her away, despite Aquilo's ample apologies.

Winter approached once again to imprison the land in its white facade.
It was an ominously quiet winter, the snow fell ever so gently to the frozen floor. Aquilo had to watch the love of his life choose a rival buck over him. He dare not say anything to her rather than keep a sharp eye on the ignorant buck that she kept at her side. Aquilo made sure that the buck never had free time and was assigned the most demeaning tasks. Anything to keep him away from her. The snow shrouded the ground in a thick layer of crystals. Icicles knelled in the tree branches above. Aquilo surveyed the meadow searching for the ethereal doe that haunted his daydreams and nightmares. She was nowhere to be seen and neither was her mate. He began to remember the grove, something he hasn't allowed himself to do in a long time. As his tail brushed past the familiar curves of a hidden path something stirred in the distance. Blood stained the snow beneath him, his ears pricked at the sight of a lifeless body spilling blood onto the blank canvas. Aquilo eyes widened as he recognized the rival buck now mangled with the works of a grizzly bear. Aquilo stepped back hesitantly, staring at the buck that laid before him. Where is she? he asked himself. Aquilo ran as fast as he could, back in time to the old grove where they use to play.

As if time itself froze so did Aquilo. Devastated with grief and distraught, Aquilo could do nothing but shake his head in disbelief. With each tremulous step he slowly crossed the wreckage. There, lying in the grass, was she. Aquilo fell next to her, in so much disbelief that he couldn't speak just stare at her limp body with tears streaming. He wrapped his halo tail around her and cradled her body in his, letting the tears fall.
"Aquilo?" He heard the body whisper. As he opened his eyes she was looking at him, and as if using every muscle in her body... she smiled. Aquilo held her tighter until she fell limp and cold. Even as the snow piled on, he could not leave her.
"I was supposed to keep you safe." He whispered.

ＰＥＲＳＯＮＡＬＩＴＹ :

Aquilo shares many traits with the season In which he was born. Appearing very cold, sarcastic, and even malicious.
He doesn't really converse unless it is important or in his best interest. He tends to hold grudges and is extremely spiteful toward those he dislikes.

He struts around with his head held high, concealing any kind of emotions because that is a sign of weakness in Aquilo's eyes.
Despite his cynical demeanor Aquilo can love with his whole being, but he only truly loved one DOE unconditionally.
Since that day in the snow Aquilo is often missing in action, and when he is with the herd he has a cold distant stare, reliving the day she died.

⤀ To say that Molimo is a stag that is easy to detect, and therefore is easy to follow and understand is a vast understatement.
This is not a deer of element that prefers company or following others in their tracks they make through their lifetime.

Molimo is someone who imagines himself with a high independence status, and gets easily irritated by others either by their movements - if they are clumsy and therefore manage to make a lot of unneccesary noise - or if it is the way said D.O.E. has a way of wording their own thoughts and opinions that does not run smoothly with him. Either if it is about the topic, or simply how their words are chosen to be used - especially if it's easy to spot they're simply using big words to try and impress him to become an acquaintance. But if he does come across those few who do have an opinion that has roots that are bounded to solid evidence and the process of good and logical thinking. He will feel mildly impressed and therefore be able to more easily tolerate these deer and not lose interest in their words too quickly.
But due to his behaviour of speaking his mind almost immediately if he finds something to be a foolish lie, a made up story, or if someone's opinion is that of an ignorant and selfish mind who can't include other he will bluntly and sharply cut them off.
This makes others almost look upon him as cold hearted, but in reality, Molimo is just a stag who can't be bothered wasting energy on the ones who have nothing to contribute to him, in either give meaningful intellectiual coversations or just a companion who doesn't nag for conversations that will never surface either way.

Molimo is one to rarely word himself in the presence of others, he is a silent thinker and observer.
Even the few rare ones who are closer to him than that of a stranger, doesn't always get to hear his inner thoughts and opinions. Though that does not mean he is silent, he merely just says what needs to be said without offering too much description into it.
He is not someone who looks much into the past, nor the future. And is therefore not one to dwell over something that happend the day before, or years before, and he finds it tedious having others stutter and beat around the bush due to something that might have happened previously in their life or if they had happenend to meet somehow previously in their lives.

⤀ Molimo seems to be a semi-domesticated D.O.E. with how during the colder months when food and water grows sparse he is found being fed and kept hydrated by a family who have grown fond of his strikingly cold colours along with his striking blue eyes and halo tail, and the feeling strikes out as being mutual.
He has an unending patience towards their smallest child, who is very eager to groom and cuddle him and offer him an abundance of treats for him to perform very simple tricks, but sometimes a small innocent nudge is more than enough to get the treats rolling.
Along with all of this, the child tends to be able to sit on his back too, sometimes it's while he is in his stable so they both soak in the warmth, or while roaming through the paddock or out on small to long hacks while he is led by a parent.
But this kind of thing is not something that happens often, perhaps once or twice while he is under their care.

Sometimes though, if the child is allowed, - especially during the first weeks of his arrival, and the last weeks before he proceeds to roam freely - they're found nuzzled close together while sleeping.
The tune of the musical instruments his so called adopted family tends to play is something his ears will always perk up at, and his eyes shine with curiosity while he listens in on the singing.

He doesn't stay there all year though, when the warmer months arrive again he is off to roam and wander, his whereabouts not always to be found. Molimo just seems to have the need and urge to be free and wild after staying confined in either a stall or a paddock when the winter hits at it's worst.
He is a clever deer, and has found the best way to survive the months that can strike out as being deadly for the ones who are poorly prepared, while still being warm and comfortable in a stable while blizzards play themselves outside of the window.

But his sudden annual arrivals and departures aren't simply met due to the kindness of the family's hearts, he is used as a helping hand pulling a specially designed winter sled to fit him with supplies to the village(s) that can be found to be several kilometres away.
