Story wrote:This Parrapup, unlike their normal days has ended lost in an eerie forest. Their breath puffs in front of them with each exhale of the chilled air. With their luck they just happened to be carrying a special lantern. *Snap* another branch breaks in their path, and suddenly they feel an itch at the back of their neck. Like some one or something is watching them. A few more steps and they swear they saw the same tree 10 minutes ago. To ease their mind off the terror, they start to whistle, but the air gets denser, and the fog ahead is darker. The world surrounding them is almost. . Unreal.
Rovian slowly came to a stop, He was completely lost. He had thought that he was on the same familiar worn path as usual, but then the began to grow closer together, and the underbrush became more thick. at first he figured it was just his imagination getting the best of him, But then came the fog.It started out like a light breezy mist, but then it began to get thicker, it felt like it was sticking to his fur and it seemed as if it was trying to pull him down. Swinging his lantern slightly he relaxed slightly as the mist dissipated, So he continued to walk. The further along the small path he got the darker it became, Soon the only things he could see were the trees lit up by his lantern. He let out a long breath and was slightly surprised to see it in the cool air. Shaking his head he continued to walk, suddenly he got the feeling that he was begin watched. Whipping around he waited until his lanter had stopped wildly swinging and inspected the trees. He didn't see anything except for dark mist. Shivering he began to whistle his favorite song, he fondly thought of the time he went to see the movie the hobbit. He began reviewing his favorite parts in his head, he soon began to walk slower than normal and slowly stopped whistling. after a while he suddenly realized that he was just standing still in the middle of a thick black fog. He gasped and dropped his lantern as he saw a very tall dark shape move towards him. The dark figure was very tall and majestic, Suddenly a deep voice sounded through the mist "You are lost young one," the voice said "Take with you your light and turn around, you do not wish to be in a place such as this." Rovian paused, The voice sounded almost, Friendly. Picking up his lantern he mumbled "Where am i?" the dark shape laughed softly, "you are where the dark things that haunt the world come to rest, You are in the graveyard of demons and ghouls." the voice said almost sadly as in he had lost loved ones to this graveyard. Rovian took a step backwards "And why are you here?" he asked frightened. The shape shook his head and then walked forward into the light of the lantern, He was a beautiful white parra with tribal markings of red and blue, his markings framed his face and then curled down to elegantly decorate his sides and wings, His tail was long and fluffy and also very elaborately decorated. He also had bangs the fell slightly in his eyes. His beak was a light grey color and when Rovian looked closer he saw that this parrapup had light grey markings as well as red and blue. His eyes were the most amazing and brilliant shade of blue. Rovian stood in a trance for a moment then shook his head
"Who are you?" he asked softly, The White Parra shook his head "I am one of the 12 guardians of the other realms," he said "I am here to guide those who stray to far, and to keep those who don't belong where they are." Suddenly a fierce growl echoed through the fog, Rovian shivered "Will you show me how to get home?" he asked slightly afraid of what made that noise. The white parra laughed slightly "Well, That is my job" he said before walking forward past rovian. Whirling around rovian walked with the taller parra his lantern gently swinging gently back and forth. another growl echoed through the mist and Rovian jumped bumping into the white parra, who gave him a worried look "We must be fast" he said very softly "The hour of unrest draws very near" Rovian nodded and then gasped as the white parra began to run, Shaking his head he began to run as well, his lantern swinging wildly now. his fur stood on end as he began to see trees surrounding them, abruptly the white parra stopped, Standing in the path was a beautiful silver parra, She had long golden hair with a golden beak. Delicate golden swirls decorated her body. Her eyes were a stunning shade of Violet. The White parra nudged Rovian forward "she will take you from here, Tread lightly Rovian, All is not as it appears to be seen" he said before turning back to the darkness they had come from. A vicious howl sounded close by sending violent shivers up and down Rovian's spine. Turning to the silver parra he waited, She touched the tip of her beak to his ear and then began running down the path. Rovian quickly followed suit and chased after her, This time he didn't have as hard of a time keeping up, she was much shorter then the White parra. Suddenly sunlight was streaming through the trees, they quickly came to a stop in a small meadow, In the meadow his friend Karim was looking at some brightly colored flowers, Looking back he saw the silver parra standing just inside the shadowy forest, Setting down his lantern he walked to her "thank you" he said softly dipping his head to her. Once again she touched the tip of her beak to his ear "Remember, nothing is as it is to be seem" she said softly before turning and vanishing into the mist. Rovian shook his head, Both Parras had told him that, 'Nothing is as it is to be seen' the words echoed through his head, Shaking his head he turned around and picked up his lantern, Then trotting over to KArim he sat down and stared back at the trees. After a moment Karim's Voice startled him "You weren't gone very long, Did you find anything interesting?" he asked still closely inspecting the flower. Rovain Laughed slightly "you wouldn't believe me if i told you" he said. Karim let out a small huffing noise "Nothing is as it seems" he murmured softly before writing some notes in his journal. The sun was shining, But rovian was chilled to the bone.
(Thanks oly for letting me use Karim in my story also, The guardian parra thing was made up by me, it's not a real thing, but as soon as i get my first parra i do plan on creating a story about this)
