"Well then.... lets start from before I was even born, My parents where beautiful and and greatly skilled Rukami yet for some reason they had decided to leave there pack and start one of there own. Why they left they old pack to start one of there own I have no clue, Its really something I wish i had asked them while they where alive but I guess it just never came to mind tell it was to late. There first member of the pack ended up being me there own pup, I guess they ended up having there paws to full taking care of me to find any other members for the pack since I was a fairly weak pup who got sick quite often. "
"Our den was a small cave right under a cliff that had a wonderful oak tree right outside the entrance, Though since I got sick often even when I was old enough to leave the den I was rarely allowed out. For once I wasn't sick so I would finally be allowed outside of the den! I was excited and i was greatly looking forward to it! That day my mother took me out and showed me the forest that we lived in, It was peaceful and the sky was green from all the tall trees that grew in the forest. Once it became afternoon and a
large storm showed up out of no where, So my mother worried about me rushed me back to den."
"By the time we got back we where both soaked from the rain, But then.... When I looked up at my mother.... The look on her face that I saw that day is something I shall never forget, My mother had quickly put her paw over my eyes. I was quite curious to why she had such a look on her face and then covered my eyes, The scent though was quite strong... It was the scent of Daddy and a rather strange scent that I had never smelled before... The scent of death. It seems as if that storm had caused a landslide and my father was trapped within it."
"a few days after the awful event I ended up asking my mother "Wheres Daddy?" She really struggled having to explain to me what happened to him, I did not know it then but the death of my father seemed to put my mother into some kind of shock. She would still hunt and bring back food for me, Yet when ever I asked her why she was not eating she would just shake her head and smile at me... I guess being in shock still it was quite hard for her to get any type of food at all, So she would give any food we got to me still being a growing pup."
"It had to have been at least a week since she had eaten anything at all, When a fairly large bear with its cubs had wondered to our territory... Being a Rukami with a pup, She felt the need to chase them off to protect her pup even though by this point she was quite weak and clearly stood no chance. She told me to stay put by the oak tree before she had gotten the bear to chase her so she could lead it away, I waited and waited for her to returned but later today that scent once again was in the air even though if this time it was faint as it was father away... And so my mother never returned though since I was just about a week away from being a adult I managed on my own, Hunting the small animals around the area. "
"About a month after my mothers death a pack of Rukami approached, But thats another story for another time."
