What scares him/her?:

Brooker's fear sprouts from when he would spend hours pawing and exploring the tall grass outside his child-hood country home. When Brooker was barely 7 years old, he had accidentally stepped into a hole; despite the odds, a snake laid sleeping, but it was a snake that most people knew to stay away from when they hear it's rattle. Yanking at his stuck paw, he couldn't break loose and it struck him, seeping poison into his body. The rattler's bite made his nerves shoot and he yelped, limping off, and he spent several days in the emergency room after the whole event. Brooker today still shivers and squeaks at the sight of any snake and went as far as to move to the city despite his southern drawl and rather "uncultured" demeanor.

What scares him/her?: Minnow hates the moon. He just does. He's always been afraid of it, ready to go down and hide under a bed when the moon came out. The stars? Fine. Comets? Fine. The moon? Eek! He practically worships nights with a new moon.

The wind rustled Minnow's mane as he stumbled across the early morning field. He wanted to chse the dark ravens that were pecking at the frozen field beneath his feet but he didn't have the heart. A light snow was falling, leaving what looked like a dusting of sugar on the hard soil that blew around his feet. A rooster crowed in the distance and Minnow hurried to feed the cows.
