Why this item:
Sethis was once part of a magic guild. He was one of the top casters, but was kicked out when he started to use black magic. With a fit of rage, he killed the leader and took the cloak as a trophie.

Anathema uses a necklace because she feels she can use her magic to it's fullest potential by keeping it close to her heart. Also its convenient to be able to have it on her at all times. It's simple, unassuming, and makes for a decent accessory.
